We've been having the granddaughter over a little more often lately. I mean, she only lives across the street but recently her mom has been having physical therapy after an operation so we've had the granddaughter at least 3 times a week. Sometimes we go out to eat for fun and my word, this girl NEVER shuts up. There's a constant flow of words and questions with no break and no stopping and the only time she's quiet is when were at a restaurant when there's food in her mouth. Then when she runs out of actual words she makes up words to sing. "Buhpa Dooo! Doo bah-dooty-doo!" Hahah! It's exausting. It's a good thing she's adorable.

My 6 yr old son is still at the phase where it takes him 20 minutes to ask a single question. Exhausting is right. ________________________________________ -- Fear is the mind-killer. We watch our 21 month old granddaughter Tuesday and Thursday evening and also on Saturday. It is exhausting but she brings us so much joy. She’s definitely a chatterbox. When I’m at work or in the back office she’s always asking Where Papa? Last night we had dinner at Chick Fil A and they had a jazz saxophonist playing. Mahlia was mesmerized. It was so much fun to watch. We found out a couple weeks ago that grand child # 2 is on the way.

Fair warning, it doesn’t get better. My daughter was speaking complete sentences at 15 months and hasn’t stopped since. She’s 15 now and took her and her friend up to the UTC Mall in Sarasota last week. They wondered why I stayed in the car while they wandered the mall, the truth is after listening to the two of them, I needed a break.

Serenity now! |
I was sitting in the park tonight and a couple of kids rode by. As she passed, one of the girls, maybe 7 years old, said "snitches get stitches and end up in ditches". It just struck me as a very funny thing for a young girl to tell her friends Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice - pull down your pants and slide on the ice. ʘ ͜ʖ ʘ

I thought you'd never ask. Our daughter, our youngest, has two girls ages 5 and 21 months. Our entire world revolves around them--well, there is this other little sun, a grandson who is 11 months old. We are way too old to have young grandkids, but really blessed. Our daughter turns out to be a wonderful mother who is trying to bring the girls up to be Christians like her. Our son's boy is delightful and cheerful, but of course not talking yet. At our age, it's wonderful to be madly in love, and my wife doesn't mind a bit. _________________________ “Remember, remember the fifth of November!"

You don't say how old your granddaughter is. I've got two. One 10 years old and one 2. If the ten year old isn't talking or dancing to some oldies rock and roll song...then it's time to take her to the ER. She is the love of our life and she constantly bugs her mom to go over to grandma and grandpas house. Yeah, she has it pretty good over here. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

She’s 5. And a trouble maker. And inquisitive. I’m hoping she starts asking science questions or wants to play music. Unfortunately, her older brothers (twin grandsons) are the type to try to eat a rock the second time because they forgot if it tasted bad the first time. *sigh* They think it’s dumb to waste money on worthless books.

Our granddaughter lives with us. She'll be three in August. She has become the light of my life. Yesterday we shucked corn together. It was a 10 to one ratio. Everything she does is delightful chaos. Last night she came out to the shop wearing her cowboy boots, jammies and her pink cowgirl hat to kiss me goodnight. When she left with her dad, I chuckled at the sight. I just hope I can live long enough to watch her grow up. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

There is no greater joy than a three year old girl. I miss those days. ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." Doug Patton.

I have two girls, a 3 year old (almost 4) and a 7 year old. They're the best. I'm constantly laughing at all the silly shit they do and say. My wife just shakes her head at us when we're all laughing or giggling at ourselves. My son is still an infant, but he's getting fun now too. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan

Those are great years right after they can use the bathroom on their own but before they grow up with the teenager attitude. Mine will be 8 next month and proudly proclaims, "I'm almost a teenager!" _____________

Sorry, but at 5 I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for those science questions. I mean, other than something like..."grandpa, why is the moon yellow". She probably loves "Mizz Ratchel" and the Disney channel. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

Grandkids are great. And exhausting. We are getting our two for a week at the end of the month. It is a thing I look forward to and kind of dread. 7 days of constant care giving (we got kids, parents are staying at home) is a lot of work. My wife bears the brunt of it but by the end of the week I look forward to a little peace and quiet. Maybe I’m a curmudgeon.

I have a six year old grandson and a 3.5 year old granddaughter. The girl is fairly independent. She will go off on her own and happily do her own thing - play with toys or look at books. She is not a chatterer. Neither is the boy. But when they are together, they can be loud and boisterous in ways I didn't really remember. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

...or Peppa Pig. lol. My granddaughter sits on me at my desk and watches Peppa Pig on one screen while I try to work on the other. When she fully reclines with her head just under my chin, work is over. I can't even use the keyboard. Eventually mom comes to rescue me. You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

16 here. Women (including girls) need to speak 10,000 words a day. Sometimes you are in the line of fire. Just love them as women are the foundation on which many great men have depended. Beagle lives matter. ______ (\ / @\_____ / ( ) /O / ( )______/ ///_____/

Oh man, no one should be allowing their children to watch that sick bastard. Perhaps you were unaware that he once made a video of himself shitting on another man many years ago before he started this Blippi grift. Anyone who has a sick past like that shouldn't be making a living entertaining children. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan
