"Casablanca" is my Bastille Day movie. Almost time to run to a small shop and get a pack of Kronenbourg 1664 beer so I can watch the movie this evening. This message has been edited. Last edited by: rat2306,

Took the wife and two daughters on a trip to Italy and France a few years ago. In Paris we stayed at a hotel right near the Arc de Triomphe. We knew it was Bastille Day but didn't realize the extent of the holiday. Walked out of our hotel to see a huge parade with military vehicles including lots of flyovers and tens of thousands of people. We spend the day and evening walking through the masses ending with a fantastic fireworks show over the Eiffel Tower. One of the best family days of our lives. They put on a really great party!
