I have, with some regret, rejoined the iPhone universe. God help me. Phone Link, which connects an android device to windows has an iPhone implementation, but it's very limited. I hate to type with my thumbs on tiny keyboards, so I would like the ability to use my laptop keyboard as an input device for my iPhone. I note that there is a .org that issues KDE Connect as an app that will do that. Does anyone here use it, or are there other suggestions. Thanks all, I appreciate the help. I think Zagg wireless keyboards for iPads may work with any device they can pair with via Bluetooth. They’re usually slim and less bulky than traditional keyboards. I have one at home I can check to see if it will pair with a phone if your current option doesn’t work. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

Thanks. That is the other option, getting a separate keyboard so that the iPhone is more like a tablet computer. I use the Apple keyboard. Pairs with iPhone and / or iPad. I even used it for a while when the keypad on a MacBook died. Veteran discount when buying on the Apple website is at least 10%, and when they have refurbished ones in stock there's another 15% discount (the discounts do stack). Two day free delivery when ordering from the Apple website. link הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Any Bluetooth keyboard should work with iOS. USB too, with the proper adapter, but maybe not with a phone with a Lightning port (as opposed to USB3/Firewire found in newer phones). There is an app for macOS called iPhone Mirroring that will allow you to type to your phone on your Mac or MacBook as long as you are on the same LAN. I suspect there may be something similar for Linux and/or MS Windows. This link suggests an alternative approach, but is probably "too technical" for the average iPhone user. Doesn't provide keyboard control of the iOS GUI in any case.

True, but some are more stable and responsive than others. My Apple keyboard's Bluetooth connection is rock solid, and there is no "wake up" lag. With some other brands that I have tried, the Bluetooth connection sometimes drops, and when keyboard activity resumes after a pause, there might be a response lag. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים
