That’s what she said.

It’s what I could afford at the moment without going broke! Like a gun safe, I’ll always wish I could have gone bigger. This, at least, will give me plenty of room for rollerblading. Wink

Now I really need to see a diagram that shows how you got vehicles in there.

Those look interesting. I still need to get some LED light fixtures. Do you think that the fact that they are round rather than bars have any noticeable effect in that size space? What Kelvin value did you go with and are yours hardwired or plugged? You're setup sounds like it might work for me, too.

The floor seems evenly lit. There's not round circles of light on the floor with shadows in between. We have a 30'x60' garage with 10' drywalled ceilings that has three rows of four basic 4' four tube florescent lights. The lighting in the new garage so much better that I can't help but think I'm reenacting Genesis 1:3 everytime I flip the switch.

I think 4,000 Kelvin. It's not the harsh white like the 5,000K daylight ones. I'll be back there first week in July and can get a picture.

I’m thinking either 4 or 6 of these bad boys wired through a dimmer switch.

Switchable color temp and wattage; that’s cool.

We went 6 because our doors are in the long side of the building, so two in the middle and two on each outside of each bay. I found a couple pics; one before lights and one after:

The two short walls are just going to be shelves so we didn’t worry about lighting them up as much as the rest of the garage.

That looks pretty good! I may go with 6, especially since they are adjustable.

Almost there! Electric work is underway. I finished the lift; all that it needs is final leveling, fluid, and wiring. I finished the trench to connect to our main panel, too.

Fridge? 100%!

Recliner? It's a WORK shop! The comfy furniture is in the house. Maybe a bean bag...

That is a FANCY creeper, but the whole point of the lift was that I wouldn't need a creeper most of the time. Wink

Plus, the last time I was waiting on a creeper for oil to drain, I almost feel asleep. It would definitely happen with one that nice.

It just dawned on me that I never posted the finish! The only thing missing is my milling machine. I need to move it over from the garage and it's 2500lbs. Red Face

It goes MUCH higher, but this was my first lift, so I was scared. Eek

The Bridgeport mill will go in the back right corner next to the lathe, drill press, and bench grinder.

I built a unistrut cantilever stock shelf. Metal stock on the bottom, then wood. I'll probably add another level for lighter items like piping.

Mandatory decoration installed. More neon later.

More deco! I know it's messy, I'm WORKING!

I installed a utility sink, too:

And a metal pegboard setup:
