Oh, how virtuous of this guy.

Funny, that's what his ancestors advocated circa April 19,1775 in New England, and we know how well that turned out for those wanting your ancestors to turn in their guns.
I guess I could say 'our ancestors' since it is possible that I had blood relatives come to American way back then - long before I ended up here.
-.-. --.- -.-. --.- -.-. --.- -.-. --.- It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.

I know that confiscated guns in AZ need to be sold but I'm not sure about when some twatwaffle like this clown turns one in. I suspect it will be on the auction block....and there's no freaking way ANYONE is going to pay thousands for them.
100% agree that if they are sold there is no way that the combined amount has four figures unless they count the numbers after the decimal point.

Yesterday, my wife joked that this guy probably bought the guns to give to police, all for attention.
My wife is on to something.
I'll bet that this Brit leftist was never a gun owner, but "paid a lot of money" for cheap .22s to dispose of. To buy the most ridiculous, tacti-cool .22, with the "flash suppressor", forward vert grip, the 25 rd mags, etc. "It has to look like a machine gun, mate." He had the Ghandi quote all picked out, arranged for police, news media, social media, etc. "Doing Rambo poses in front of the mirror", is his Brit impression of American gun owners.
This guy is a leftist anti, trying to milk the shooting with his little stunt.

Why would the police even come to get a legally owned gun? It isn't their job. I have some crap around the house I'd like to get rid of, maybe if I call the police, they'll come and get it.

I love that little name- Pring. Just about perfect for a simpering pantywaist.
I'll wager he has a domineering neighbor, Mrs. Thipth.
Pring needs discipline. Mrs. Thipth provides it.

I guess he left town to "lay low", the blowback from social media was maybe something he did not anticipate. Chalk up another leftist who learned the power of stupid decisions and social media.

That's the best reason I've heard about this. Typically if someone is going to spend the money and make the effort to install a lot of aftermarket stuff on a gun, it's because they are pretty attached to the firearm and enjoy improving their shooting experience. Turning in the guns you've bought, shot, and enhanced, at the drop of a hat would be out of character of any gun owner I know.
Earlier in the thread there was a car analogy about turning in your car because someone somewhere was killed by a drunk driver. Along similar lines, this "citizen" turning his guns would be like spending good money on a paint job, upgraded wheels, and new tires, then deciding to give your car away because it's better for everyone to walk everywhere.
I was reading the commments in the article and one of them suggested that this fool is getting this publicity for his bus company. Because I'm not a GDC it's difficult for me to think like one, but this would certainly be in keeping with the "never let a crisis go to waste" mantra of the Left.

^^^from the above article: "Pursuant to state law, Arizona police departments are required to sell guns that are turned over to them — they cannot destroy them."
Looking at that, I have a feeling that the wife is the one supporting the family.
She's making the bus payments too.

Just as I suspected, the Brit is a lyin' commie piece of shit. He tells the media he turned in a "big ol'machine gun". Even the story in the link lists his rifle as a machine gun.

He couldn’t just act on his conscience. He had to get the media, and a photographer down there.
I suppose it all evens out though: I bought another gun Saturday. (Didn’t feel the need to call the media)
