Absolutely. Untouchable in this category. I am a complete klutz and drop my phone multiple times a day. Otterbox, hands down.

This. I’ve got one on my 16Pro Max and had the exact same one on my Samsung.

^^ THIS! We have currently have Spigen cases (either the Tough Armor MagSafe or the Ultra Hybrid MagSafe cases) paired with [GlasTR EZ FIT] Tempered Glass Screen protectors on three Apple iPhones (currently an iPhone 15 Pro, and two iPhone 14s) in my household. We couldn't be happier with Spigen products and had the same setup(s) on our previous gen iPhones as well. The Spigen cases provide just the right balance of device protection and minimal bulk. If you spend a lot of time on a construction site, then Otterbox all the way, otherwise I highly recommend you consider Spigen. You will not be disappointed. Wink

Once again Sigforum has provided the answers. Thanks to everyone. I feel confident making a choice from your recommendations and it will narrow down the options down a tremendous amount from what is available online.

I like Rugged Shield I found in Amazon. Exactly like the old Magpul cases, reasonable prices.

I only buy Speck Presidio2 Grip cases now for my phones. Have tried many others including the Otter Box but keep coming back to this model. For a short time they changed the material and they weren't that grippy anymore but they seemed to have heard feedback and improved them:

I don't use any screen cover

I prefer a thin cover for the phone, Speck, Spigen, ESR, I have dropped my phone(s) several times and these three have provided full protection.

Right now I have an ESR as it's very thin, comfortable in my hand since I have a 16 Pro Max,

Edited to add - No Screen Protector

Link ESR

Nor do I. They are really not needed any more.

I was at the Apple Store to have a battery replaced in an iPhone. I axed the Apple dude about screen protectors. He said that they sell them, and will install them for you, but they really were not necessary for the newer iPhones because the Gorilla Glass that's used now is very scratch resistant and shatter resistant.

^^^

I mentioned this on the previous page—Corning has some crazy geniuses working for them. Watching some of their testing and abuse videos is amazing; the glass can withstand incredible impacts.

I don’t currently have a screen protector (other than the thin factory-installed one) because it generally takes an unlucky hit to shatter a modern screen. However, it is possible. Dropping your phone flat on gravel, with a sharp rock at just the right angle, will do it (ask me how I know).

My old phone (OnePlus 12) used Gorilla Glass, but my new one (OnePlus 13) has OnePlus’s proprietary Ceramic Guard glass. It’s likely similar to Apple’s Ceramic Shield, as both claim to be twice as tough as the previous generation of Gorilla Glass. Modern smartphone screens are incredibly durable, making scratches and breakage much less common than they used to be.

I use a Torras case with the rotating ring on the back, and a Magic John screen protector. I didn't think I'd like the ring on the back of the phone but it actually pretty handy and I love it.

On new years eve, I was at a hockey game and dropped my phone about 20 feet onto concrete the level below where I was sitting. I knew it was going to be shattered when I got it back but it was in pristine condition. I couldn't find any scratches or scrapes or especially broken glass. I highly recommend this case.

Rugged Shield cases on Amazon are identical to the old Magpul case in every way. Black, dark blue, and green available for iPhone 15.

For my 16 pro I bought a Mous case and normally I don't put on screen protectors but after seeing some things on FloLabs I picked up one of their screen protectors and the install kit makes it so easy.

We just traded our iPhone 8’s for iPhone 16 Pro Max phones. I have a UBPro (Unicorn Beetle) on mine. It has the built-in screen protector, good drop protection, and a ring-type kickstand. Oh, and it’s MagSafe. It also came with a very robust clip holster that I haven’t used. It also has a cut-out for the camera control which I like.

My iPhone 8 wore a Magpul case that I really loved, but Magpul apparently no longer makes phone cases.
