I've owned 2 in the past. I miss both of them. Like the 4Runner, made entirely in Japan.

Kev,

Just out of curiosity, what do new Premium Off-roads sell for out there?

I've been wanting one for several years. Well as it turns out now that I can "afford" one - I can't.
The ones that are for sale are priced insane.

I've resigned to putting off my purchase for a year hoping the market will shift. I'm just hoping the summer of 2022 provides auto market relief.

Cheers~

I bought a 2019 Toyota 4Runner TRD Off Road loaded for $38k in Nov of 2018. The dealer keeps trying to buy it back from me. A new one is $50k. Mine is paid for. No thanks.

My Son has a 2019 Offroad and the dealer has contacted him several times trying to buy his back also.

They're all slightly above MSRP (if you can find one). My local dealer has one right now for $54k.

When I went looking for one years ago they were getting scarce.
I started looking for an FJ60 Land Cruiser instead and wound up with a 1991 FJ80 sitting in my driveway.
I get pestered about selling from time to time but my daughter is starting to drive it so it's not going anywhere.
Though the prices people are getting for them is a bit tempting.

My "other brother" is on his sixth 4Runner.
Three of them are still in his family, each with over 200K miles.

God bless America.

My company-issued vehicle is a 2011 4Runner. Just about to cross 205k miles. I drive 96 miles minimum, every day, to highway construction zones, asphalt plants, etc.
Underpowered, sure. I just drive more carefully.
An absolute tank of a vehicle.

I wish I could fit in one. I can barely fit in a land cruiser. Talk about crazy prices!
