I thought it an engine broke, it seized the wheels? (As in “can no longer spin because the block is broken, etc. maybe a slug cannot do that.) Maybe that’s just on a manual?

Dad's checkbook going to take a major hit if he hires a crafty lawyer to defends his son. No trial on this one, just a guilty plea and sentencing where the judge watches the video. U.S. Army 11F4P Vietnam 69-70 NRA Life Member

In defense of the title choice, I thought it had to have something to do with police use of the big 12, since obviously the ammunition and guns haven't gone anywhere as far as hunting and civilian use is concerned. I would really like to hear the final adjudication of this matter. I wish I could have more faith in our justice system. ... stirred anti-clockwise.

As much as I agree with your choice of shotguns...
I just don't see how a shotgun (left in the vehicle) would have helped him. Is the officer supposed to take the shotgun with him every time he makes a routine traffic stop? "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

Working as a volunteer at more than a few vehicle checkpoints over the past 24 years, the officers of our county police are reminded at every briefing to avoid putting themselves in harm's way. The policy, simply stated, is to let bad people be bad, but live to arrest them later. We had one person give the officer his DL, then speed away. Really? So, what our Division does, at vehicle checkpoints, is to ensure officer safety above all else, and to let the miscreants go. We have enough info for officers to arrest the bad drivers later. It's not very exciting. But, none of the officers are injured. I cannot imagine how any officer would have ready access to any weapon of higher ballistic efficiency than a 9mm pistol. At normal and routine engagements. I can't see walking towards a traffic stop with a slung 12 gauge. The shotgun is in the trunk for special occasions. ------- Trying to simplify my life...

https://6abc.com/post/plymouth...lot-attack/18096498/ The shows the takedown photos where the suspect later rammed the next police car. Police are doing well (physically). Hard to say about their mental condition, but wish them well. WTF is wrong with some people? Just show your license, get a $50 ticket, and slow TF down. Sounds so simple. I don't want to see police walking up to cars carrying 10 ga shotguns just to issue a ticket. Why are we letting people out on the streets after 50 felonies? Idiots like this, who otherwise might obey the law, see the catch and release for others and then think they can do this kind of shit. BTW, the asshole is still behind bars, waiting for his court date. "Dalton Lee Janiczek had faced 11 criminal charges prior to the attempted murder charge, according to records. These charges, all related to reckless driving, occurred between 2023 and 2025 and included offenses such as speeding, driving an unregistered vehicle, misusing plate cards, careless driving, driving without a license, and parking illegally. Nine of these charges were filed since June 2025." (My real name's Bill. I was feeling paranoid when I signed up:-)
