My wife asked me to pickup a few things at Sam's Club one of which was butter. It come as 4 - 1lb boxes in a package. She asked for one, but I got two because Thanksgiving. I get home, she sees one package and says "I should have had you get two of those." That's when I whipped out the second package of butter.

Spike the football, swing the club, Trump Dance! I got one rignt!

So you're 1 and 3287 on the season.

Statistically speaking you're leading the league. Wink

My similar win came extremely early in my marriage.... just 3 months in, actually.

It was Christmas season I picked up a blouse for her that I knew was exactly her style. Christmas morning she opened it and was giddy, telling me she saw this in the store and REALLY wanted to buy it, but didn't because it was Christmas season and she knew we had to save money.

It was a big win right out the gate...

Still waiting for the second one, 17 years later.

I knew you guys would appreciate my story.

Seriously, how many time are you asked to pick something up and you get it wrong?

Could you pick up some laundry soap?

What kind?

Tide

Sure

Seems simple enough. And then you get to the store and there’s powdered, liquid, pods, with bleach, without bleach, scented, unscented, with fabric softener plus five different sizes of each.

When I was married and the inevitable but I asked you to XXXX, I just countered with, "But I was smart enough to marry you!" Sometimes it actually worked... for a while.

Today my wife thanked me for finding a pleasant hiking trail for our Sunday walk. She collected some colorful fall leaves (hey, it’s California). After 55 years, counts as a good day.
