Sister said he had been choking on fluid in his lungs. He couldn’t keep going. I’m not entirely upset or anything, he didn’t deserve that. Glad he’s not suffering or hurting. I’ll go to the service and lock up my piece of property now that he’s gone but it’s weirdly void of much emotion.

I hope I turn out to be a better father than he was.





10 years to retirement! Just waiting!

I'm sorry to hear that. My sincere condolences. It's hard losing a father.

My condolences Otto.

A good friend of mine who has recently been through chemo and radiation told me last night, that’s he’s got 1 year or less according to his doctors. He’s in so much pain he said he wished it would happen tomorrow. I was and am in shock.

Heart goes out to you and your family.

Sorry it’s over with less than a perfect resolution but glad he’s not suffering anymore, from sickness or his demons. And it’s a relief to you as well. Sorry for the rough couple of months with your move down to Ga.

Sorry to hear J. Hopefully have your sister there was comforting to him.
When the time is right focus on the fact you were able to reconnect.
Maybe he did not want you to have to experience his his passing.

Thank you ORC. I wish I coulda been there but that wasn’t in the cards. He’s better now for sure. Hope Montana is treating you well.

Sorry Otto. My condolences on your loss and I'm sorry that your last few months with him were rough. As others have said, maybe he knew it was coming and his behavior was his way of making sure you didn't have to be around to see it. Whatever his motivation, I'm still glad you had the chance to reconnect before the end, and it did sound like you had a few good days in there at least before stuff got difficult. Try to remember the good stuff.
