In order for a Jew in America to turn to the GOP, I would think they would have to identify with and be connected with Israel and it being their homeland. I have a feeling that many of the Jews in America really don't have any close ties to Israel at all. Thus, they are not really swayed by what the Democrats are doing. I hope I'm wrong. I'd be happy to hear others' thoughts on this.

Most American Jews seem to be VERY left

My aunt is Jewish and she still LOVES John Fetterman, she’s hardcore deep blue Democrat and I can’t see her ever voting for any Republican.

Most American Jews (80%) live in liberal cities. I think they must put something in the water there.

This is my observation (correct or not) as well. I have a hard time understanding it, considering how for almost two millennia Jews have been run out of nearly every place they've lived in. Israel is the last place on earth they can be run out of without a fight.

I think Jews who identify with Leftists do so because they believe what they have been told about nazism and the political right. Nazism comes from the political left. Some American Jews will recognize that now and some will be too stubborn. The more the antisemitic movement metastasizes here the more Jews interested in self preservation will untether from Leftism and the more the rest of us will need to stand armed between them and the antisemites. We cannot allow evil to accumulate against them again without a fight from the beginning regardless of past political resentments.

And it was a lot of the college kids who helped Hitler and Stalin to power. For all they call themselves "intellectuals", they seem incapable of reading history absent their red colored glasses.

When I was in Israel, I asked one of the guys who'd lived their all his life (and had some relatives in the US) why the Jews in the US almost monolithically supported the left, while the left did not support Israel. He said a large percentage of Jews (especially second generation US) cared little about the nation of Israel itself. Many are even anti-Zionist and have bought in to the leftist position that Israel is the occupier and the Philistines are the oppressed. And the 1st generation were immigrants. And historically immigrants will support the most liberal positions politically.

Will the events of Oct 7 wake them up? I do dearly hope so. Time will tell.

I have great faith and love for our Jewish brothers and sisters. I take literally their biblical calling and descriptor as God’s chosen people. My Lord and Savior come from their lineage. I know as people they choose the right and seek holiness. I also know God will frustrate and cut off those who work against them. God will protect them ultimately even if through people like me.

Para I appreciate your positivity, however that ship has left port. And I don’t see any western country going full Serbia anytime soon.

While I hope things like this change their mind, time will tell. God still has a covenant with them and I support Israel. He will make the change in their lives one day.
