If teachers aren’t culpable, why haven’t they cleaned up their own associations and unions?

My youngest graduates this year from a charter school. All our other kids have graduated from it as well. Uniforms including coat and tie on Mondays and all school trips and activities. Parents have to volunteer 20 hours each every year. No fuss or muss. Typically either the the top school in our state or in a bad year 3rd. Never heard of a fight in the 13 years we have had kids there (7-12). We also have good teachers.

Charter schools are public schools but are generally doing way more on less money.

In the instant case the mother of the real victim, here, warned the school of the impending problem. Like the Oxford School System in Michigan: The school apparently disregarded the warning.

Wisconsin has very high taxes, but has excellent support services in their schools. When the school became aware of threats, the kid was immediately evaluated by a school psychologist. In most cases they were onsite. Appropriate action was initiated at that point.

My wife retired from Lowe's and wanted to find something to do . She signed on with the local school system as a substitute teacher . She can pick and choose which assignments to take and she has pretty much stopped going to the High School . She said that everybody is rude . Students , teachers , everybody . The Intermediate school seems to be her favorite and the teachers love her there . It's turned into a full time job for her .
