The wife texts me a picture from Kroger of a hipster sporting a skirt. I kid you not. Worst part was there was an actual female walking beside him holding his hand.

Think this’ll catch on?

Call me old fashioned, but I would think that shaving one's legs would be obligatory.

I think it's a pretty good bet that any dude wanting to put on an actual skirt is also the type to want to do it al fresco. Red Face

No, you didn't. I bet you wore a kilt, not a skirt. Big difference and you were in Scotland.

Doesn't look to me like a kilt.

Speaking of which: I've occasionally considered acquiring a kilt, but am far from certain it would work for me.

If you're wearing a kilt, and wearing anything other than boots under it, you're wearing a skirt.

5.11 makes a fairly nice one, BTW.

"The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. 'Make it evil,' he'd been told. 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." -Douglas Adams

The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all. -Mencken

I disagree.

Kilts are commonly worn with low-cut dress shoes and tall socks (sometimes spats too) for formal occasions, like parades, ceremonies, weddings, formal dinners, etc.
