I have read most of this guy's many books and can't think of anything I've ever disagreed with.

He is amazing. IMO, you could save yourself a lot of money by skipping university and get a better education by reading his books.

Just as an aside, which of his books did you like the most?

If I had to choose, it would be Inside American Education. That's a personal choice, because I taught high school Chemistry for seven years (a long time ago) and still have friends who are teachers/retired teachers.

Thomas Sowell is a national treasure. The fact that he's Black is both inconsequential and encouraging. He is just one of many very astute Black individuals our country is privileged to have as citizens. Sagacity and intelligence are not confined to just one race.

And that's just how screwed up this country really is when black youth idolize illiterate rappers, instead of trying to follow in the footsteps of Dr. Sowell. Pretty amazing Sowell spent most of his younger years as a self-avowed socialist only to evolve out of it as his intellect and life experiences grew.

He is a national treasure. The fact that he's 90 and still just razor sharp is amazing. Hell, I'm only 60 and feel I've declined more than he has.

Underestimate to your peril.
She's far from dumb; deceptive, conspiring and ideological she is, there's no shortage of far-left policy writing organizations at her disposal, waiting for the day they can bring in a procession of hand trucks of new legal proposals.
The mass media has already demonstrated they'll handle all the PR and policy explaining for the Dems, Harris just needs to handle things in the Senate and see how much sway she can have on the cabinet.

Hmm. “Ignorant” doesn’t mean stupid, sounds like you guys are saying she knows, but ignores the reality of economics. Maybe so

quote:
“The first lesson of economics is scarcity: There is never enough of anything to satisfy all those who want it. The first lesson of politics is to disregard the first lesson of economics.”
- Thomas Sowell

Amen to this! It even extends to white youth who do the same thing.

See my signature below. It's my favourite Thomas Sowell quote.

Social Justice engineering destroyed my childhood dreams by disadvantaging me based on my skin color. I was too young to know how to adapt so I was forced to take another far different path in life. The rest of my days I’ll feel like I’m not living at my true potential. I suppose that’s Kamala Harris’s idea of equity

Thanks. I've only read a couple of his books. 'Basic Economics' was very enlightening, but 'The Vision of the Anointed' was incredible.

My next book of his to read is 'Black Rednecks and White Liberals'.

Absolutely. I'd pay good money to see him and Brenie Sanders debate economic and social policy.

I think the willful ignorance is never more on display than the denial of the basic science of DNA and sexual classification. Once you have people denying basic facts, you can get them to believe ANYthing.

But yeah, she is a stupid bitch. That's a fact as well.

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. -Ecclesiastes 9:11
