| Once as a teenager, I was working as a fry cook when the waitresses got all freaked out over a rather large black snake. I put it in a box and folded the lid down and put it in the hatch of my VW Rabbit. On the way home, it escaped and came crawling up front and into the dashboard. I turned the AC on full and to the lower vents, and it came sliding out. Didn't like the cold. Got home and let it loose in the barn. Why anybody would be afraid of or hostile to black/garden snakes is puzzling to me.

I adjust large loss fire claims…haven’t had snakes but have had 2 homes lit on fire burning weeds with a torch. Also ashes from fireplace put in a cardboard box in the garage.
