It seems like at least once or twice a year we have a thread about people wanting to covert their movie libraries to digital to be able to stream at home or remotely or learn more about NAS implementations and Plex software usually pops up in those threads. Some of us have a lifetime license and others were waiting to snag a lifetime license on one of the two times a year that they discount it 50% off, which is 4th of July and Black Friday.

With that being said I saw this article today about Plex raising its prices. It stands out because they haven’t raised their prices for a decade despite continuously adding features. So if you were interested in snagging a lifetime license, or were paying a monthly/yearly subscription fee and want to go lifetime before the increase, try to do it before next month. Just a heads up!

Also note, if you have a yearly sub, and purchase a lifetime, it will automatically refund you the unused portion of your yearly, so there's no need to wait until your renewal.
