Some of you may remember that my SO and I lost our terrific GSP, Maggie, in May. I found her here on the forum and the member from whom we adopted her was part of the outpouring of sympathy - thanks to all. She was one month shy of 16 years old.

Tomorrow we start a new adventure - we are traveling to NE Ohio to pick-up a new pup. Like Maggie, this one is all liver except for a spot on her chest. Maggie was a little over 2.5 YO when we adopted her - this will be our first experience with a puppy - four months old. As septuagenarians, the task is a bit daunting, but we are looking forward to it.

How can you not love that face? We have named her Mousse - as in Chocolate Mousse. She is crate trained, which should make things a little easier, and we have a lot of accouterments from having Maggie for 13+ years - so we are not total greenhorns.

Thanks for letting me share.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

Congrats, how sweet is she.

Our Chihaha as my wife calls her has been a real joy after losing my best buddy (still a real heartache). Our Chihuahua pup is a real piece of work let me tell ya. She has really bonded with our three year old rescue heeler mix.

Dogs truly are a gift from God.

Best of luck with her. May you guys enjoy a long and healthy life together.

Big paws! Enjoy the new adventure. Please remember that you, a human, cannot know the thoughts of a noble creature such as Mousse. She is who she is, and our mission is to understand and enable her fabulous qualities.
