14 good years. The kids are 15, he's been their life....everyone is taking it pretty hard.
Damn it.
To add: My 15 year old son Mike went with us and was so amazing. He held Charlie the whole time and sang to him until he was ‘out’. Gut wrenching yet I have never been so proud of the man he is becomming.

I'm very sorry for your loss Ronin. If I didn't know better I'd swear that is a picture of my own good boy, Jackson. I'm praying for peace & comfort for all of you.

Always painful. Sorry for you and the family. The loss leaves a scar, always there but the pain does diminish over time. Perhaps it might help the kids to know others (myself included) have also experienced losing such a close family member.

Sorry the kids have to deal with that. It's hard enough for those of us that know the pain will pass and a new pup will eventually fill that hole in your heart.
Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Ronin, I know what you all are going through it was the hardest thing I’ve had to do in my life. Helping a faithful pet, that has been a family member over the rainbow bridge is so hard. I am sorry you have had to go through this. Take Care
