In the1980"s upon entering a attic space of a residence to secure a overhead island cabinet noticed numerous points of light coming thru the roof and finding numerous spent bullets on attic floor.. Downtown New Orleans, La. in the area known as the "French quarter". Over enthuastic celebrating for any reason that you can think of. ............................ drill sgt.

Up on the hill behind me we used to have a bunch of hillbillies. Maybe still do, but different yokels. New Years was interesting. Thought we had an invasion or some such. But clearly they could afford booze and ammo. Being old and lazy, I went to bed. After the first incident, I remained in the basement until after midnight. Cops around here are a little more lenient. They generally don't want to go near gunfire or fireworks on the 4th. I just assume the idiots aim at Ohio (buckeyeville). I was talking to a local and he asked what I thought of all the gun fire. I told him I was ok with it as long as I don't hear any hit my house. When I do, its game on. Unhappy ammo seeker

In the way back, last century, I’d hang out with the smokers at a certain global auto manufacturing entity *cough* Generous Motors* cough*cough*, in the wonderful world of “de, troit” Anyways, I’m not a smoker, but hey WTF, why not hang out 5 to 10 times a day for 10 minutes shooting the breeze on top of the roof of the plant. We’d find dozens and dozens of slugs. Mostly 9mm and .45 and some .556, but Jesus, that f’n roof could have been a Super Fund cleanup site.

Happens twice a year here in this part of Tennessee. The wife has no idea that 75% of what we hear around 4 of July and New Years Eve is gunfire. Found one like that in a parking lot near my Army Recruiters office in Gainesville GA. Just look down and there it is. At least it wasn’t my truck. Also not 10mm, whew.
