Well the Dims never have had an original idea, so they use the playbooks given to them by their CCP Masters, remember Tiananmen Square. Lots of historical examples dating back to Rome "hiring" mercenaries from the European tribes, who eventually took over. The Roman rank of Centurion took a soldier 10+ years to earn, having to show skills/expertise in a variety of areas in the Roman Army. At the height of the Roman empire there were over 5000 Centurions in the various Armies of Rome, at the time of the fall, there was less than 500.

All part of the plan; get rid of true patriots, make going in the military as easy as possible for defectives, allow "migrants" to join the military as a path to citizenship. That way they get a military that is loyal to the party, not the country.

^^^^^^^^^^^
McNamara tried in his Famous Follies, the developmentally delayed did not survive very well. Immigrants with a clean record can already join the military and later earn citizenship. Nothing new.

I don't think the Dims are expecting to deploy them in an actual combat zone but would deploy them here at home, against "insurrectionists and traitors" along with the rest of us deplorables.

I don't think illegal immigrants were allowed to join the military, only those who were legally here. The Dim's new plan would allow illegals in the military.

I had direct and very saddening experience with this. At the time there were 5 mental categories, 5 being the lowest and after little mac came on the scene he allowed 5's to enlist and be drafted. I had one Marine in my platoon in RVN who was a 5 that required a lot of attention. He was a good young guy but couldn't do anything without supervision and really couldn't figure out a lot of routine stuff. He was fine when I left though.
My next duty station was at an AFEES (Armed Forces Entrance and Examination Station) worst duty in the world. We were drafting category 5s at that time, part of the 100,000 thing. I thought it was stupid, borderline criminal to do that as did the docs. I had nothing to do with their assignments or duty stations but it was 1969 and the odds were good to total that they were WesPac bound. My hope for them at the time was that they would be pulled out for the jobs that nobody wanted but needed to be done, the shitty little jobs that require minimum supervision and where it really doesn't matter very much how well the job gets done.
I know the unwashed public think dumbgrunt is all one word, and it is as dangerous as hell but the powers that be need to give a man a fighting chance in the absolute meaning of the phrase, and being slow mentally reduces one's chances in any enterprise and this one is a one and done operation.

Sometimes when I'm on a rant I get confused about who I despise(d) most in the world, Hanoi Jane or fucking Macnamara. She was a symbol, he stacked bodies, ours.

Agree on the USAF not coming to the school. I had students who wanted to join the USAF, and the recruiter's cell phone mailbox was full and not taking messages. (You can assume that, by me getting that far, he wasn't answering it.)

The Army NG recruiter, on the other hand, shows up often and does well. So do the USMC crew - who bring their pullup bar.

With the exception of "young", you just described a lot of folks on the .gov payroll. Perhaps if we demanded those qualities in our public servants, that would be a start.
