These guys are great salesmen.
They've harped about AR15s so much my youngest daughter is getting 2 AR15s next week so as to be grandfathered in just in case at some later date.

We're going to legally transfer one of my Colt M4 barrel profiles with A2 buttstock and chromed Colt bolt carrier. It's so pretty.
Then she is buying a brand new BCM M4 Mod 0.
This one has the adjustable buttstock.

r2mach1 is handling both transactions in Fort Morgan, CO.

Interesting what people know about holy scripture. The jawbone of an ass (or donkey, for the sensitive) was what Samson reportedly used to slaughter a bunch of people he didn’t like. I don’t know anyone who ever killed that many with an AR-15.

It's such an unbelievably ignorant and asinine statement that I have to ask. Could his quote in that article possibly been taken out of context?

Here's the podcast where the quote supposedly came from. I'm not sure I want to listen to it.

I have a suggestion: instead of doing things designed to accomplish nothing, how about we talk about ways to harden the schools? That is, of course, assuming this has anything to do with school safety.

This is my argument, right here, in spades. A GD rock is an assault weapon...just ask Abel.
I agree with your stance, but the Bible does not identify the weapon Cain used to kill Abel. (I'd always heard it was the jawbone of an ass, but I just checked and it is not mentioned.)

flashguy

Cain cut his brother's throat. He did not merely "kill him", he "slaughtered him", in the same manner that one offers a blood sacrifice in the manner of the biblical meaning.

Abel offered (an acceptable) blood sacrifice to God. Cain could have "purchased" an acceptable animal with his farmed produce, (but because of bad blood, no pun intended), he slay his brother and said to God, "Here is your sacrifice!"

This makes a very good parallel understanding (if it were possible) of the depraved mind of those who kill like this latest mass murderer.

It is a hatred that a sane person cannot know, but might understand.

He should have been locked up in an institution a long time ago.

I don't have the bandwidth to stream anything right now. I could barely open that slt Tribune article. But like you said, I'm not sure I'd want to listen to it anyway.

It absolutely is and he can't be that ignorant on the issue, so it makes me wonder why he really said it? If the Governor of such a strong 2nd Amendment state would say such a thing who else in the GOP is about to jump ship?

Now is a good time for us to find out who our friends really are. It may not be fun to learn, but I would prefer to know.

I guess I need to listen to what prompted him to say it. I'm wondering if the interviewer specifically asked him a question like, "would a hunter need a 30 round magazine when he goes out into the woods," and the governor then specifically answered that question. And then of course the Tribune printed that quote insinuating something that he never meant. But I mean, it's just so hard to believe that the media would be so dishonest... Roll Eyes

Anyway, I'm just speculating. I'll need to listen to the interview.

At about 27:06 on the recording listed above:

Host: What about magazine size?

H: I don’t know that there is any reason to have anything more than a typical 7 or 8 shot magazine size

Conversation goes on from there as described in the articles.

The gist of it is he feels the right is hunting related. The host pauses, and says something about that position being different than other Republican leaders. I believe the article quotes what he said, which was something along the lines of yes, we need common sense approaches and solutions.

So there was no mistake. No sure where this is coming from, but hopefully the senate and assembly people do not feel the same way.

Fortunately, the session is almost over, and this is an election year. I seriously doubt a mag ban is going anywhere here right now. I hope.

There will be no mag ban in Ut. Gov H is a passive aggressive anti gunner. He is alone in that though. He vetoed the constitutional carry bill twice, but that is the sum of damage gis party will tolerate for now. If we keep electing Progressives in office......well, Texas here I come.

The level of disinformation and propaganda in this is infuriating. In it, they repeat the platitude that "No one needs an AR-15". [QUOTE]

In Colorado, Senate bill SB18-051 is coming up for a vote (2/26) STATEWIDE ban on bumpstocks. Already banned in Denver city limits by a vote 10-1 by city council. To date I don't think anyone has turned any in.

Even Hickenlooper, who is obviously being groomed for 2020 looks at the Oregon Gov. likes she's nuts. But, no Governor, the NRA didn't "swoop in" to recall those two senators, the People did.

What????? Not NJ...the Gov of Utah said that.

You Utahans need to email bomb the holy living shit out of him and tell him you will not stand for any sort of magazine restrictions, nor any talk of it. He needs to be put into line, damn quick.

These Republicans that are making gun control noises, need to be put on notice that the answer to addressing "mass shootings" is not gun control, nor will talk of it be tolerated. Any of them that goes even an inch down that road, will lose your support and will be primaried.

The oft overlooked phase of the Second Amendment is: "being necessary to the security of a free state". That has not a damn thing to do with hunting.

Mia Love said everything has to be on the table, so add her to the list. I don't get what is coming out of Utah right now, but KSL and a lot of the other outlets aren't covering any of it. I bet most people don't have a clue they are taking these stances.

Josh Sugarman, who started a gun control group The Violence Policy Center" in the 80s, basically came up with the term "assault weapon", to paint semi autos as weapons of war. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Sugarmann
Leftists have coined the misleading phrase ever since. Like "climate change", commies invent catch phrases to spread lies and further their agenda through fear and intimidation.
