It has been 16 weeks since my surgery, and I still have two months of PT left. Today, I had 2 post-surgery milestones:
  • first time handwashing my truck since the Achilles rupture, and I was able to do it wearing flip flops. I usually do it every week or two, but it's been since September.
  • first time riding my motorcycle since the Achilles rupture. I have to move the motorcycle to wash the truck so I put on my boot (my Achilles is still not strong enough without it), moved it, and took it for a lap around the block. I let it idle the whole time I washed the truck, then washed the motorcycle, then put the boot back on, took it for another lap around the block, and then put it back in the garage.

nice, seems like a really long recovery. Glad you are back to about 80% from the sound of it.

I finally go over my plantar fictitious. It is about 90% better. So my Achilles is feeling a lot better too. A huge step forward.

That's great. The habits I built trying to get rid of it have helped me not have a recurrence. Still religiously wear arch supports in all shoes and slippers, and have arch support flip flops.
