P250UA5Opening Apple Pages file in Windows
Need to open a document that was written on a Mac & sent to me.
It's a .PAGES file, and I've only got Word, Notepad & Wordpad as options on this machine.
Tried to just change the extension & that did nothing.
Word tries to open it, but results in gibberish & symbols.
Is there a way to convert a Pages file to .docx or something that a Windows machine can read?

architectIf you can get your hands on a Mac, Pages will Save As in .doc and .docx formats. Maybe get your friend to re-send it?
If not, you might try OpenOffice.org/LibreOffice or whatever derivative there is for Microsoft operating systems. Most of these are FOSS (Free Open Source Software), free to download, install, and use. Some distributions can take significant disk space.

4MUL8RThe pages software can “export” the file in a readable format. Word, PDF, etc.
