That’s because we have a Sorus bought and paid for D.A. He’s already put one Fairfax County PD in jail that Trump had to pardon.

Yep. Same CA let a dude off who walked back into a busy restaurant in Herndon VA after being told his kids couldn’t be in their due to VA ABC rules and started firing shots. How is that ever ok? Yet this CA has made a pattern of letting perps off and going after the good guys

Dude was wound way too tight. I would imagine that moving to another country with a very different culture and system would be challenging. Going nuts and trying to take his frustrations out on the officers was not a good life choice though. Oh well, at least he won’t make that mistake again. I hope that the officers recover fully and quickly.

My county. I heard the story not long after it happened, but the body camera footage was only released today. This linked article has some more info, and also a few head-scratcher phrases. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news...Hm?ocid=BingNewsSerp

Clearly the Jamal had issues. His choice of how to handle that situation was the single determining factor. No one will know for certain but from the way the initial officer was talking it sounded like he, as a fellow veteran, was contemplating how to help Jamal. Jamal just wasn't having it that day. Pretty much this, sounds like guy was in a real bad way and went about it totally wrong. Curious with all the stuff he spouted, like working with special forces and lost his brother and we made him come here? Also said us white people lied for 25 years, puts it just before 9/11 and this guy at 11 or so. Then again early on in the stop he says call Joe Bidet or George Bush… Idk, I’m curious of his story, but again doing what he did, he deserved every round and hopefully the two officers hit don’t have life altering wounds. ...Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, was just a freight train coming your way...

For the LEOs here, a serious question: It *seems* to me, as a non-cop, that the most adequate way for an officer to proceed with an agitated jerk with a gun by him was to (A) draw his service pistol, and, pointing it at the guy, (B) IMMEDIATELY announce: “you have a weapon on you, and are not in control of yourself. Get out of the car now, with your hands visible to me at all times”. Am I entirely wrong? (Mind you, of course I don’t think everyone who does have a gun should have police draw their guns on them in every instance. I’m takking about this specific scenario)

I would think in his agitated state, at least get him to step out of the vehicle away from his weapon and try to control it from there. Obviously he either complies and now weapon is out of reach, or he doesn’t and now it can be perceived as a threat. Likely best approach when your partners show up. Also interesting how he became very defensive once being surrounded by officers, like in his mind it’s self defense against the Americans, but in our minds he’s grabbing a gun and shooting at officers. Maybe a cultural barrier there where Americans know you don’t grab a gun and shoot at officers in self defense, but who knows what corrupt podunk hole of desert this guy crawled out of. ...Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, was just a freight train coming your way...

He would not come out of the car. He did not even comply with the trivial “what’s your name?” request.

I'd have gotten him out of the car, and THEN dropped him. Costs a lot to clean up the inside of a car after a head shot. I was always made fun of for my somewhat intolerant attitude to having a firearm pointed at me.
