They are everywhere especially on social media sites. Their favoured refrain seems to be “I am not a criminal so the government won’t be freezing my account “. I can remember when the government used to suggest you don’t need privacy rights if you have nothing to hide. Back then the left rightfully fought this sort of argument. Now they are absolutely in love with big oppressive government. As for CNN being able to find someone to interview, they are both lazy and incompetent. Calgary Shooting Centre

https://www.nationalreview.com...-u-s-freedom-convoy/ Police in Washington, D.C., have requested assistance from the U.S. National Guard in preparation for a potential protest convoy in the district similar to the Canadian “Freedom Convoy,” a Pentagon spokesperson said Tuesday. Spokesman John Kirby said the Department of Defense is considering the request from the U.S. Capitol Police and the D.C. Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency. “Those agencies have asked for National Guard personnel to provide support at traffic control points in and around the District to help the USCP and D.C. government address potential challenges stemming from possible disruptions at key traffic arteries,” he said. “No decisions have been made yet to approve these requests.” The request comes as an American group inspired by the Canadian “Freedom Convoy” is expected to descend on Washington, D.C., in the coming weeks to protest Covid-19 pandemic restrictions. The “People’s Convoy” is set to begin its eleven-day trip from Victorville, Calif., to Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.

Government froze accounts for what was legal activity. If they do this they can do it for anything.[/QUOTE]I always explain it this way. Government is like a dog you're unsure of when it comes to whether it will bite someone or not. As such, you assume/accept nothing, and actively/aggressively train that behavior out of the dog until it realizes that sort of behavior will never be acceptable. Government needs to be reminded that we will never accept this sort of behavior out of it. ----------------------------- Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. What could go wrong with these "top men" involved? Damn, these losers are gettin' scared big time aren't they? Back on the Canadian Truckers- quick question, about the arrest of Csaba Vizi. I swear I saw a video of his arrest, taken from inside his truck, where he had a Quebec cop issuing commands to him in French. He stated he did not speak French, but understood that they wanted him to get out of the truck, and get on his knees with his hands behind his head. He did that, and then got his ass stomped by the cops. Canada is bilingual officially- how s it morally permitted to have police issue commands in French and not switch to English? Optically this reminds me of the Chinese bringing in the Mongolians to Tianamen Square. They had no ties to the area, maybe fostered resentment for the local populace, and were absolutely brutal in their response. Does anyone recall seeing that video? BTW. he is the trucker who dropped an f-bomb on Fox. I think I saw a bit of it on Tucker Carlson's show. https://www.foxnews.com/opinio...future-united-states "Some things are apparent. Canada is technically bilingual, however the province of Quebec is a uni-lingual francophone province. The ONLY province in Canada that actually adheres to the intent and spirit is New Brunswick. Quebec also has their own language police that walk around with measuring sticks the measure the heights of lettering on signs, and French needs to be a certain height, while the English needs to be very much smaller (by law in Quebec only) Quebec has held Canada hostage over its 'distinct society' bullshit for decades with separation referendums. I left in 1991 and my parting thoughts were to have a Canadian referendum to kick out Quebec, strip them of their citizenship, send them all bills for their share of the national debt and tell them to distinct it on their own. I have ZERO use for Quebec and its culture.

nhtagmember nailed it ^^^^^ Québec has at least twice threatened to leave Canada. Once sometime in the mid- to late-70's and again in the mid-90's or so. Ottawa bent over backwards to prevent that. Kind of made sense. There were fears that would be the end of Canada as a country, with everything west of Ontario going off to do their own thing, everything east of Québec splitting-off, leaving Québec and Ontario each on their own. There was even talk the western and/or eastern provinces might eventually petition for U.S. statehood. The problem is, well one of the problems is: Québec got mostly what it wanted and the rest of the provinces got the shaft. Québec remains a PITA for Ottawa and the rest of Canada, and the rest of the provinces remain resentful. If you think it unlikely a Canadian equivalent of a state could have a population that doesn't speak English, when it's literally surrounded by English-speaking states and provinces: Think again. Many people in Québec either speak no English or refuse to do so. And some of 'em, if you don't speak French, can be downright hostile about it. (Actually, what they speak isn't even proper French, which makes their snooty attitude all the more annoying. What they speak is actually Québécois. [They hate being reminded of that.]) Personally, with the direction its headed, I have no plans ever to visit Canada again, much less Québec. "America is at that awkward stage. Odd Little Note on the Puppet Handler of Trudeau Everyone knows Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is an empty vessel. He carries himself as a generally unintelligent fellow with a sub-par IQ and a childish demeanor that is often inappropriate. However, recently due to the increased attention upon Canada as they descend into lunatic leftism, the role of Trudeau as a puppet has become more evident. His Deputy Prime Minister, Chrystia Freeland, is well known to people here for her prior key role in the creation of the USMCA trade agreement, her busybody demeanor and her snarky ideological annoyances. However, Chrystia is also the person who puts the words in Justin’s mouth, literally. Watch a few seconds of this video from Trudeau’s statements about Ukraine yesterday and pay attention to the mannerisms of Freeland as the Canadian Prime Minister reads his prepared remarks. Watch her closely and what you will notice is that Freeland wrote the remarks. She is visibly saying them in her head while physically mirroring the exact cadence Trudeau uses as he delivers her script. There is another video posted in this thread where she shows the same mannerisms as he is giving a prepared speech. In the few videos I've watched of his speeches when she is present, she positions herself close to him. It's also worth noting that in this video, after he walks out to the lectern, he immediately turns his head directly towards her and they both nod and acknowledge each other in a friendly and familiar way. It's almost as though he looks to her for reassurance, and she gives it to him. Of the MPs on stage with him, she is the only one he acknowledges by name. It would be interesting to watch videos of his speeches from before these mandate protests and see just how long this relationship has been going on and how long she has had an influence on him.

Years ago, my wife and I were on one of our motorcycle vacations. We were traveling through Canada. I needed directions to get to a store, so I pulled up next to another BMW motorcyclist at a traffic light and asked how to find the address. He looked at me and said, unpleasantly, "Speak French!" I replied, "OK, fuckez vous," and saluted him with the international symbol of ill will. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

I've actually tried to stand up for Acadien as perfectly legitimate French, but I didn't get very far in terms of convincing the French guys I was speaking with. There again, Cajuns and Louisiana have found their own ways to be distinct without constantly being at one sort of war or another with their immediate neighbors - who, in turn, really seem to like them. As for Ottowans, maybe it'll make sense to kinda get used to it. The Acadiens got resettled to Massacheusetts and Louisiana by the British. Trudeau, in driving statist conceptions of government more common in French history than British history, may wind up driving Quebecois out of Canada and into the US by removing protections for the Quebecois founded in English common law.
