ate a lot of them, haven't had any in a while but it's not hard to imagine with inflation, trying to keep the price point reasonable, you either reduce the amount in the bag or the size, or both.

I'll bet you see a lot more changes coming with the MAHA rules on artificial colorings coming down.

Have not noticed any difference in them and I do love them. Just don't eat the brown ones, Van Halen forbid them backstage. Interesting story behind that one. It was included in their contracts to ensure that all the instructions were being followed for their equipment. If they showed up and found brown M&M's they knew that their instructions for their equipment was probably not being followed.

I only eat them when on the road, then I eat a lot. My road trip candy choices are:
1. M&M peanut
2. Snickers--original ONLY; perfection can't be improved on
3. Mounds--wish they made one with almonds

The story I heard was that if they found one brown M&M they would trash the hotel rooms. Who knows?

A member of the crew was injured when a show set up instruction was not followed during a concert.
(Pyro effect?)

That's when they started with the "M&M Clause" in the contract. If the M&M's weren't right, they assumed the set up instructions may not have been followed either.

No trashing of the rooms over the M&Ms.

And I think it was the "tan" colored M&Ms not the brown that had to be removed from the bowl in the room.
(as I remember it)

But it may have been an "urban myth".

Is this a test to see if anyone's paying attention or don't you like milk chocolate? Big Grin

I've always thought they were backwards since I was a kid. The semi-sweet should be with the almonds.

It was Van Halen that started that. It's not as big a deal now with lawsuit, but there are a few self righteous "artists" that do it because they're trash.

I had no idea so many adults ate m&ms.

Maybe MAHA has already taken effect?

They've gone downhill to the point they don't even remotely taste the same. Smaller peanuts, much thicker candy shell and almost no chocolate. Bean counters ruin everything.

I eat them frequently and haven't noticed any serious change in quality.

Does anyone know how many manufacturing sites there are domestically?

Don't know about tastier, but probably less squishy.

Of course I don’t like milk chocolate—except in Snickers and Reese’s PB cups.

This is SigForum, isn’t it?
I’m pretty sure there’s a line in our contract that specifies we eat at least 60% Cacao dark chocolate; exception for subsection B re: M&M’s, Snickers, and PB cups.

No change. I just want to know how they manage to always make the rotten/sulfur-tasting peanut the last one out of the bag.

My wife bought a bag a week ago, and we BOTH noticed a taste change. She still eats them; I do NOT eat them any more....nasty after-taste.

I took it up a level. I've been ordering milk chocolate coated, sea salted cashews from Nuts dot com. Ridiculously good.
