I expect to wake up Sunday morning with 4-5ft under my house. I’m right on Chef Pass

Nope. Eight miles from the beach. We bought just North of I 10 after seeing what Camille did in 1969 to the Coast. I will be safe, it is just lots of bad memories. A friend said to me that Hurricanes are how we mark time here on the Coast. I know you understand. Thanks for the well wishes.

It's a strong TS/Cat1. Everybody's day will be fine unless they are surfing, and most of those guys will be fine.

Here for "Cruising the Coast " and it spoiled the big Saturday, so I'm heading back to Florida in the am.

Will see how long my 2.5 hour drive takes...

But it was beautiful the past few days.

Glad to have you as a visitor. It was great weather. Let me know next time you visit and we can shoot at the local range if you have time. I really enjoy seeing the classic cars. Record turnout this year. Nice crowd.

Tropical storm-force winds extended outward up to 125 miles mainly to the east of the center of Nate.

A Hurricane Warning was in effect for Grand Isle to the Alabama/Florida border along with Metropolitan New Orleans and Lake Pontchartrain.

Along the northern Gulf Coast, hurricane conditions were expected in the hurricane warning area Saturday night.

A storm surge warning was in effect for Morgan City, La., to the Okaloosa/Walton County line, Florida, and for the northern and western shores of Lake Pontchartrain.

My cousin lives in Bay St. Louis will be glad. They live about 600 yards from the beach.

I would like to thank the NWS for the 4:27 AM alert that we are now under a tropical storm warning here in L.A.

While I suppose these are necessary, the hour is certainly not necessary.

Be safe all of you out there in Nate's path. You have been duly warned.

So we had a house on the beach at gulf shores starting tonight. Needless to say we are not going. The owners were awesome and refunded us all our money but I have some very disappointed kiddos.
