Staring back from the abyss |
You'll likely find many of the better places in Bar Harbor closed up for the season. The beertender at Stewman's told me that most places were closing in a week or two (two weeks ago). Still a wonderful place to visit and Acadia is magical. Hopefully there'll still be some color there for you. If you're heading up from Portland, stop at Red's Eats in Wiscasset. The best lobster rolls in Maine. Expect a line though...you might wait awhile. ________________________________________________________ "Great danger lies in the notion that we can reason with evil." ^^^ okay, thanks for the heads up. We got mission accomplished last night. So any additional lobster will just be gravy or more delicious lobster to be exact. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." I'm not sure if it is closed for the winter yet, but a place I always liked is the Ogunquit Lobster Pound in Oqunquit, ME. | |||
