I'm working outside this morning. It will be fun. Luckily it's only 90 minutes or so worth of work. Plus it's a balmy 4°, twice as hot as you down the street at my house.

It was 1 in brentsville, Va in prince William county at 7am as I was driving home

It had gone up to a balmy 2 by the time my 11 year old was at his bus stop at 735

The damn idiots in charge of the schools are morons. Last year we got delays for 25 with a 15 wind chill, regularly, but we go at the normal time when it’s 1

Kids, hell adults, in this area, regardless of income, do not have the proper clothing to be standing outside for 20 minutes in 0 degree temperatures. And idiots around here don’t seem to realize that what protects from a typical Virginia cold spell of the mid-20s don’t do shit for 1

And why would you spend money on that kind of clothing? For most of last January it was in the 60s

It's so cold here my A/C guy just called to cancel my semi-annual check up. I laughed and said he must have been born and raised in Florida because it's shorts and t-shirt weather for those of us from up north. He then explained that you can't get good pressure readings for the system when it's this cold.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Second job today. Trailer walk in cooler not working. Got power restored and it went into heat mode instead of cool. That's cold.

Funny thing was the failure. Someone set the trailer on top of its cord. Shorted out fuses. Idiots.
