I have an electric mattress pad...
Does it ground the bed? IDK, but it is warm when I get in!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

IF you're looking to calm and relax yourself, take off your socks, sit on the edge of the bed and make fists with your toes in the carpet/rug, I know it sounds crazy but it works, trust me....

What do you mean by this? You feel you get better sleep with the phone more distant, or..?

I would wake up 3-10 times every night. Most of the time Would just go on back to sleep just to wake up a little while later.
There would be a night every month or so I would wake and not be able to fall back asleep.

A random video popped up on YouTube that said move the phone to the other side of the room and if you do wake up don’t look at the clock.

I moved the phone 4 or 5 months ago to the other side of the room and I’d say in that time period I have woken up maybe 5 times before my alarm.
Sleep all night through nearly every single night now. There are nights when I don’t even wake up one one of the boys crawls into our bed in the middle of the night.

My mom uses one of these things, no doubt they’re snake oil. She’s into all of this “natural health” nonsense……the stories that I could tell, if I had hours and hours, I could fill a book. I posted here in frustration several months ago because she ordered us some “EMF blocker” thing, and had it sent to our house, without telling us, until the day it was supposed to be delivered. Whatever this stupid thing is, it’s done absolutely nothing for us since we got it, and she paid $6500 for the stupid thing. Roll Eyes

Healthline has an interesting article on "grounding" it's about a grounding mat, but the principle is the same as the sheets

The postulation is as follows: The Earth has a negative charge, connecting your body directly to the earth (dirt) allows it to equalize and create a neutral charge.

Anyway, science or hype, heres the link

The Link

quote:
Is there any solid research on grounding mats?
DRW: There is mounting evidence of the benefits of grounding mats. There are implications for sleep, biological clocks and rhythms, and hormone secretion.

It is well understood how electrons from antioxidants deactivate free radicals. We know these free radicals play a role in immune function, inflammation, and chronic disease.

IIRC James Bond was instructed to eliminate all free radicals in Never Say Never Again....

The way I look at this is, whether you believe in evolution, creation, or intelligent design, there is a reason that certain things have the electrical polarity that they do. Mother Nature doesn't make mistakes, nor does God.

This is not much different than the magnet craze some years back. P.T. Barnum had it right. Wink

Keeping EMF current away from your head while sleeping is extremely important. Also, as mentioned somewhere above, walking in sand or dirt with bare feet does something. If feels so relaxing, I suspect there is a physiological reason with some health benefits.

As to a mattress or sheets, that would be interesting to try out some day.

I did that a few months back and broke my little toe or something. I can't move it anymore and hurts when a bend it downward.

You mean the 2012 remake? You're not missing much. Good thing you've already seen the original a bunch of times.

... Right?
