My dog crosses the line

| Brad, check out wine coolers, theyy are easy to retrofit and are generally less than cigar coolers. |

| I do. It is a converted wine cooler (Haier). Got it online for about $150 as I recall. It doesn't last forever ~ on my second. First lasted maybe 3 or 4 years and this one (same model - buddy got one at the same time and then he had to move because of divorce - so this was free). Anyway this one is at least 3 years in use and I had to replace a fan ~ no big deal.
Regardless it works well and I use beads and Xikar solution for humidity. |

| I thought you meant a cooler converted into a humidor. My brother has had one for about 10 years or longer that he stores boxes in. I think he is using Boveda packs to keep it humidified, but I'm not sure.
As far as the one you have linked or similar, I don't have any first hand experience with them. I have heard of people converting wine coolers and such though. Usually it is cheaper to convert than it is to buy a specified humidor chiller. |

Get Off My Lawn

| I used to have a Haier, and it lasted a few years before crapping out. I then bought a small Avanti and it works fine. It is approx. 10 years old, it's making a little noise now, but still works. I use 65% Heartfelt beads and the hygrometer usually reads around 60 degrees and 65-70% humidity. When it is off during the late fall/winter, the temperature is more room temp and the humidity at a good 65%
