It seems to be working out that way for me. Highly sugary foods like, halloween candy, maybe. Or soft drinks.

Maybe not but maybe so.

You?

I think it is a fact that certain foods cause inflammation and will trigger arthritis.

I dont eat a lot of sugary foods or drink soda, so I can't comment there.

But I do know that dehydration triggers my knee arthritis.

100% for me. The inflammatory effects of sugar/carbs. Makes me hurt all over, sometimes worse than others, the when and why of which I haven't quite pinned down. But for sure, I get up in the morning and think "what's this about?" and I realize "yeah, you had ice cream yesterday".

It is particularly true with gouty arthritis.

RA and similar arthritis presentations are cause by a cross reaction to a low grade bacterial infection. The infections starts in the gut, but the organisms release a protein that loosen the tight cell junctions, and the bacteria work their way into the body tissues.

When the individual eats carbs and sugar, they are feeding the bacterial infection. Typically the organism in a streptococcus bacteria, but not always.
Change your diet.
Clean out the gut using supplements.
Help the body rid itself of the internal invaders with additional supplements.

I’m a solid member of the senior citizen class, but have no arthritis, rheumatism, or sore joints.

I consider sugar to be poisonous, but eat most other common foods. Including “highly processed” foods, such as Spam. I am careful to have plenty of fiber in my diet.

Serious about crackers.

I know a doctor who, when treating someone for arthritis, first thing she says is to cut out or way down on the sugar.

Yeah, but you just have to grow a pair, ingest those foods anyway, and man up.

Just kidding.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." More and more, for a lot of autoimmune conditions that are inflammatory in nature, there seems to be a strong correlation with certain foods ( sugars are definitely a major culprit ) making things worse.

My dear wife who looks terrific on the surface, has suffered with a bunch of poorly defined or categorized inflammatory conditions, and has found a very disciplined diet has made a significant impact. She is the type that can stick to a plan like glue, and be highly disciplined. I could not do it I think. She eats lots of green ( spinach broccoli green beans) salmon or tuna with a little beef or chicken now and again, and brown rice. Her evening snack is cottage cheese and berries. Eats the same thing every day. It has made a distinct impact on her symptoms, and when she does on the rare occasions ( holidays, vacations etc) she goes off her diet, she can immediately tell and feels horrible

Much as I like them, CA red wines have something in them that aggravate my knees. Sulfites maybe? I have done my own unscientific trials and yes, have a glass two or three days in a row and I'm hurting.

I broke my neck a few years back and still have screws in it. I've been getting neck pain lately so I went to my Dr and he said I'm getting arthritis in the C1 and C2. The same as were crushed and broken. I am paying close attention to this thread for sure.

Gluten is an inflammatory, I wonder if those mentioning carbs are referring to gluten.

The FODMAP diet is recommended for intestinal disorders. It an exclusionary diet so you have to find what works for you.

That is most likely a wear and tear arthritis. If C1 is not fixed to the skull you would most likely obtain relief from a NUCCA chiropractic adjustment. There is no pressure on the neck at all. Some people think that because it is so light, it cannot work.

I broke L1 into 53 pieces in a Mtn. bike accident, and also used to have severe sciatica. The NUCCA system saved me, and thousands of others. I also have hardware implanted into my spine, but was able to trail run 30-35 miles a week with no problem.

Some supplements that help clean out internal low grade infections are Para1, para 2, and para 3 from Cellcore Biosciences. Para 1 is a high quality mimosa pudica, which removes organisms clinging to the inside of the gut. Para 2 and Para 3 are used when the organism have made it into the body tissues. Para 3 is stronger and faster than Para 1.
