No, not like Bill Clinton ![]() |
In the Pocket of the Abortion Donor Erick-Woods Erickson Jan 28 Fred Stanback is a progressive donor to major abortion and environmental causes. He seems to be one of those people who think we need less people. Stanback was an early champion of RU-486, the controversial abortion drug. He put his money behind a campaign to promote RU-486. Eventually, the liberals in the Clinton Administration pushed the FDA to approve it, despite all the well-documented health and safety issues with the drug. Fred Stanback has also donated $7.7 million over the past twelve years to Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.’s political organization and a host of population control groups. As Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy will have final say on regulations relating to the abortion pill. He would control Title X family planning programs and the Office of Population Affairs. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. believes that large donors influence the political class in this country. One must wonder if he is talking from personal experience. If Kennedy makes decisions, I think Fred Stanback will have some influence. The New York Post has now come out against Kennedy’s nomination. The Post uses Donald Trump’s own words about Kennedy to oppose Kennedy. “I lived with RFK Jr. in New York and watched him convince Governor Cuomo to make Environmental moves that were outright NASTY,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Upstate New York was not allowed to drill or frack as Ohio, Pennsylvania, and others ripped off New York Energy. Because of this, prices have skyrocketed all over that part of the Country.” “I’d even take Biden over Junior’, because our Country would last a year or two longer prior to collapse.” In Donald Trump’s words, “He’s a Radical Left Lunatic. No Republican can vote for this guy.” Senate Republicans should listen to those words. And they should listen to J.D. Vance’s words: “If you’re not willing to stand up to the left on abortion, you can’t be trusted on anything else. “ Robert F. Kennedy is a leftwing radical who Donald Trump accurately noted was “an Extreme Environmentalist who makes the Green New Scammers look Conservative, a Big Time Taxer and Open Border Advocate, and Anti-Military/Vet.” Kennedy is all of those things. Pro-Life Senators and Republican Senators generally should reject Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. He is too radical to put in charge of the largest share of the federal budget. He is too radical to put in the presidential line of succession. Donald Trump nominated Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as payback for Kennedy’s endorsement. However, the Senate does not have to put Kennedy in office. They can and should stop him. Okay, not I think I can move on to other things. DeepSeek Yesterday, markets went nuts because DeepSeek, an app based on a Chinese AI model, surged in downloads. The company behind it claims it has made an AI that is faster, uses less power, and doesn’t require super-fast GPU chips from NVIDIA. The app also censors critical information about China, including about Tiananmen Square, and logs your keystrokes, among other things. But, why are we taking all this at face value? It is just as likely the Chinese are lying. Elon Musk and several others have come forward to suggest the Chinese are claiming this, but actually are using 50,000 NVIDIA high-end chips that they somehow got into China despite export controls. I would be hesitant to believe the communists have been able to leap ahead so suddenly and so dramatically. But it is also a reminder the Chinese are the enemy and need to be treated as such. The Measure of Right-Wing Intellectual Honesty I have and will continue to criticize President Trump and his administration as I see fit. Note my opposition to Tulsi Gabbard, RFK, and communist adjacent Labor pick Lori Chavez-DeRemer. Note also my criticisms of the blanket January 6 pardons. But the first seven days of the Trump Administration have given us: A rollback of DEI in the federal government. Iran telling its proxies to stand down lest the United States view them as a threat. The Houthi ceasing Red Sea attacks. Mass illegal immigrant round ups and deportations. Corporate America scrapping leftwing virtue-signal initiatives. A willingness of advertisers to go back to conservative platforms. An order requiring federal employees to go back to the office. Fear and trembling among career bureaucrats who thought they were in charge. Objectively, as a conservative with real qualms about some of Trump’s plans, the first week was a great success for conservatives and the country. It was so successful, the left has tried to pin egg prices on Trump, who has only been in office seven days. They haven’t found anything else yet to attack him over. Sure, I’ll have plenty of criticisms. But if you, a self-described conservative, are fuming about Trump this past week, you might need to reassess your conservative credentials and your brokenness. There are certainly things to criticize. But the balance of issues was in our favor. And for all of you fuming, you might want to calm down. You still have 1,453 days left. You need to pace yourself. https://ewerickson.substack.co...rue&utm_medium=email

Could be interesting that Trump pulled RFK off the ballot to help Trumps numbers, promised an appointment, knowing the R numbers wouldn't pass him... He's on TV right now getting grilled big time.

Kristi Noem announces Trump admin is ending temporary protected status for Venezuelan migrants https://nypost.com/2025/01/29/...venezuelan-migrants/ The Trump Administration is revoking temporary protected status for more than 600,000 Venezuelan migrants across the US, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced Wednesday morning. The newly confirmed DHS secretary slammed her predecessor Alejandro Mayorkas for tying the Trump Administration’s hands and signing an order giving the staggering amount of Venezuelan migrants temporary protected status so they could “stay here and violate the laws” for another 18 months. “We fought that today. We signed an executive order within the Department of Homeland Security that we are not going to follow through on what they did to tie our hands,” she announced on “Fox & Friends.” The new order would allow federal agents to “evaluate all these individuals that are in our country, including the Venezuelans that are here and the members of TDA (Tren de Aragua),” Noem said. more at link _________________________

Good, let's see some more of these people show their ass. I like it. USDA inspector general escorted out of office after refusing to leave despite dismissal by Trump administration WASHINGTON, Jan 29 – Security agents escorted the inspector general of the U.S. Department of Agriculture out of her office on Monday after she refused to comply with her firing by the Trump administration, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters. Phyllis Fong, a 22-year veteran of the department, had earlier told colleagues that she intended to stay after the White House terminated her Friday, saying that she didn’t believe the administration had followed proper protocols, the sources said. In an email to colleagues on Saturday, reviewed by Reuters, she said the independent Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency “has taken the position that these termination notices do not comply with the requirements set out in law and therefore are not effective at this time.” ____________________________________________________ "I am your retribution." - Donald Trump, speech at CPAC, March 4, 2023

60 USAID Officials Removed From Duty https://theconservativetreehou...s-removed-from-duty/ According to media reports, President Trump has removed the entire leadership structure of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), previously run by Samantha Power. This is not necessarily a domestic issue. Those who walk the deepest political weeds well understand that USAID is the cover agency for the interventionist efforts of the CIA. USAID is the agency silo that coordinates the meddling in foreign elections, organizes the revolutions and political opposition of those deemed out of alignment with global democratic norms, funds the NGOs who do the ground operations, and generally seeks to replace foreign leaders. President Trump has just removed the entire leadership structure of the USAID enterprise, approximately 60 government officials. You can bet that nationalist leaders of foreign countries are smiling now while Brussels (EU Commission) is left wondering who will pay for the foot soldiers. (Via Politico) – […] The order — sent via email to members of the senior executive and senior Foreign Service — was issued close to the end of the business day Monday and was effective immediately, according to two current USAID officials and three former USAID officials told of the communication. It comes as USAID and the State Department have been ordered to impose halts on a vast number of humanitarian and related programs around the world. The decision appears to affect nearly every career staffer who holds a top leadership role at the agency, at least in Washington — around 60 officials, the current and former officials said. The cuts have left many offices within the agency entirely devoid of senior non-political leadership. The entire cadre of leaders who run USAID’s bureau for global health, for example, was put on leave, according to two of the officials. “This is a huge morale hit,” said a former senior Trump administration official who was also told of the move. “This is the leadership of the agency. This is like taking out all the generals. I don’t know what they hope to accomplish by it.” (read more) _________________________

"Today I'm also signing an executive order to instruct the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security to begin preparing the 30,000 person migrant facility at Guantanamo Bay," Trump said. "Most people don't even know about it." He said they need 30,000 beds to house the detainees, adding that putting them there will ensure they do not come back.
