I'm guessing Hegseth assumed it was not classified since he neutered details, he's said as much publicly. And honestly who knows, he is the declassification authority for everything military.

I would certainly have been crushed for posting that type of information in Signal chat; not UCMJ but also not in fight club anymore. I think they should just acknowledge this was a mistake and move on. I'm very interested in how waltz added this journalist originally-- is he somebody who can be trusted? That aspect of the story is far more intriguing than Hegseth trying to impress people by parroting TOTs a general fed him.

I suspect Waltz is Deep State. There are so many wrong things about this. There is no way this was an accident. This may be an advantage to the Trump team, finding out about Waltz and removing him before he caused major damage.

Leftist: Congressman, do you trust Trump’s national security team to keep our war plans safe?

Burchett: Do you trust your mother every night to fix your Hot Pockets and make sure your Game Boy is turned on?

This officially puts them on the radar- I can only imagine the rending of garments and gnashing of teeth when the carpet gets pulled!

I watched the interview with Laura Ingraham, and Walz was lying his ass off. Too much head movement, eye blinking, and over-answering questions, puffing them up with irrelevant material.

I have no idea what's going on exactly, but he should be fired and his access to classified information suspended until the full story is clear.

If for no other reason, he should be fired on "the buck stops here" principle.

Yes. I think it would be better for Trump to find someone to whom he could pass the torch. I've been impressed with Vance thus far.

Columbia University President Armstrong resigned.

https://www.politico.com/news/...-steps-down-00259153

From the hacks at Politico…

quote:
The extraordinary move comes a week after Columbia agreed to a set of nine demands by the Trump administration in order to open talks to un-freeze $400 million in research funding, which the administration had imposed over allegations of antisemitism on campus.

Trump’s joint task force to combat antisemitism welcomed Armstrong’s resignation, calling it “an important step toward advancing negotiations as set forth in the pre-conditional understanding reached last Friday” in a statement.

Amazing how loudly money talks; and even more loudly when it’s silent. That’s what happens when you “take the shilling”.
