CBS Poll is even more overwhelmingly in favor of our President.

Democrat lawmakers may not have approved of President Donald Trump’s triumphant return to the Capitol, but polling shows their constituents loved it.

CBS News/YouGov survey interviewed a nationally representative sample of speech watchers immediately following Trump’s joint address to Congress, and the numbers will please the poll-mindful president.

The poll shows an astounding 76 percent of Americans viewing the speech approved of Trump’s remarks, with only 23 percent — less than a quarter — disapproving.

Sixty-eight percent of viewers described Trump’s speech as “hopeful,” with a majority also describing it as “presidential,” “inspiring,” “unifying,” and “entertaining.”

A clear majority of Americans watching the speech also said the president spent a lot of time on issues they cared about, the survey found.

Over two-thirds of viewers said Trump has a clear plan to deal with inflation, which began under President Joe Biden. And over three-quarters liked Trump’s plan for waste in government spending as well as immigration and the border.

Additionally, almost a quarter liked Trump’s plan for dealing with Ukraine and Russia despite an onslaught of negative press from the establishment media leading up to the speech.

Presidential address viewers typically skew heavily towards those who identify with the party of the president. But only 51 percent of viewers identified as Republicans.

Finally, over three-quarters of viewers approved of Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) ordering the Sergeant at Arms to eject the unruly Rep. Al Green (D-TX) for disrupting the president’s speech despite warnings.

Let’s just call it a State of the Union, because that is what it amounted to.

And in that State of the Union, the longest address by a President to a Joint Session of Congress in history, Donald Trump played the Democrats like a fiddle.

The speech was too long as a speech. But it was packaged as clippable moments for social media. Trump on the border; Trump on crime; Trump on Ukraine; Trump on kids with cancer; Trump on illegal immigration; Trump defending girls in sports; and on and on it went.

Stylistically, the speech will live on in viral moments packaged for people with a short attention span.

Trump could play the Democrats like a fiddle because they are now so damn predictable.

He won the popular vote. His party did too. But Democrats are convinced he and the GOP are a threat to democracy. All they have is performance art and it changes nothing. They will change nothing. And because they are so invested in protesting every aspect of Trump’s presidency, the Democrats refused to cheer on a young boy with cancer. They refused to show sympathy to a mother whose daughter was murdered. They didn’t even show much for a family whose husband died in the line of fire of an assassination attempt.

A geriatric congressman with a cane got escorted out. The young guns of the left stayed seated in pink or black or quietly held signs. The angry base will stand with Al Green and wonder why the others did not walk out. But most Americans will wonder why the Democrats refuse to get on board a ban on boys in girls sports — an 80/20 proposition. The public will wonder why Democrats were not supportive of securing the border — another 80/20 proposition. The public will wonder why the Democrats oppose scores of popular initiatives the President mentioned.

They seemed out of touch.

It was so bad that Elise Slotkin, Michigan’s newest senator, had to turn the second half of her speech into group therapy for Democrats on how to constructive protest and stand up to a man they view as a threat to democracy who the American public just elected and still give about 50% support to.

That is just brutal stuff.

Donald Trump played Democrats like a fiddle last night. He got them to balk at protecting girls. He got them to balk at protecting the borer. He got them to balk at protecting Americans. He got them to balk at a kid with cancer.

Until Democrats can get out of their bubble and realize they are the unpopular ones, they are not going to be able to improve their image with the public. MSNBC is turning into a secret weapon for the right, grounding the Democrats in a bubble of disinformation.

Trump needed to cut the speech down. It was too long. I suspect many Americans wound up fading away as the night went on. But he produced so many viral moments of predictable Democrat behavior standing in opposition to so many 80/20 issues that it probably will be worth it to have gone on that long.

It is fucking amazing the Democrats have not learned a single thing from the ass-kicking they got in November.

Everything Trump wants to do, the vast majority of America wants also- keep men out of women sports, out of women's bathrooms and locker rooms. Secure the border against illegal invaders, deport the ones here. Cut out the importation of fentanyl and other dangerous drugs. Bring law and order back to the big cities run by Democrats. Bring merit and achievement back to the hiring process . Reduce and cut back on U.S. involvement in foreign wars. Cut out govt. waste and corruption. Etc, Etc.

The vast majority of Americans want this badly, but the Democrat Party doesn't, and they still want to push an agenda most Americans despise, shove it down our collective throats. And the display they put on last night highlights to America that they are not interested in the slightest bit in America.

The Dems are fractured, dead in the water right now, perhaps the worst shape the party has ever been in. I know they will continue this stupid behavior, no matter how damaging it will become.

I watched a live stream from start to finish. There is most definiately rot in the Democrat party. I despise them all, always will. It was a long speech but look at what the man has done in less than 2 months. The look on the First Ladies face at the actions of the dems. And that elderly hag Pelosi needed something to tear up. That whole party should have been booted out of this session. We also are in need of a more aggressive Sgt at Arms. That little bastard from Texas should have been dragged out and thrown into the street. It was a great speech by the President.

Lots of mic drop moments from Trump last night. Calling out Pocohontas was one, all we needed to secure the border was a new President was certainly a highlight. I do wish he would have piled the humiliation on the Dems when they refused to show a single ounce of empathy or compassion for young DJ Daniels. After the applause died down I wish he would have waved his hand at the Dem side of the aisle and said something like these people are such lunatics and so full of hatred they could not even stand and applaud a young man who is beating cancer and dreams to be a police officer. And they can't figure out why they lost the election so bigly!

The looks on their faces would have been pay per view worthy.

What a glorious night it was!

The speech went better than I could have hoped for. A win for Donald Trump and a win for the American people.

The Democrats nemesis isn't Donald Trump. The Democrats nemesis is Democrats. They've laid a trap for themselves, which is that they oppose absolutely every single thing Donald Trump does, represents, supports and speaks for, including innocent 13 year old boys who've spent their childhood facing death every day since they were 6 years old. Imagine what that young man has been through. Look at his scalp. How may times has his cranium been opened? How many scores of hours has he spent enduring treatment? Imagine what his family has been through, the fear and worry and financial hardship. I take it that he's not out of the woods yet.

And here he is in his shining hour, yet such a small thing when compared to what he's gone through, and the disgusting, hate-filed Democrats- supposed leaders- cannot set aside their childish behavior to honor this poor kid.

Before the speech, I said I hoped the rumors of the Dems planning to show their collective ass were true, but this is beyond the pale.

I have never seen a Sergeant at Arms remove a member of Congress, and I note with great satisfaction that the protests from the Dems for the rest of the evening were limited to holding up those idiotic signs.

Petulant, slow-witted children. That's what they are.

But, for the rest of us, last night was a triumph, a grand victory, and President Trump deservedly won new fans.

Among his other titles, Trump is Entertainer in Chief. Brilliant the way he incorporated the angry democrats into his act, essentially converting their raw hatred into partisan grumpiness. The democrats have no plan and have become a one trick pony. They have relied on the broken, partisan, progressive media to carry their water for so long, they no longer have the aptitude to steer themselves to safer waters. They are probably praying for the midterms, but without new leadership things are likely to get worse for those on the left.

That would be my presumption, there plan is to wait for the midterms. For now there is nothing they can do but hold up passing bills in the senate.

Trumps speech was brilliant, he hit all the points, and they planned the attack to expose the lefts hate beautifully and Trumps ability to think on the fly such as the Pocahontas comment, is excellent.

Dang, SCOTUS rules 5-4 that 2 BILLION dollars must be allowed for intended USAID recipients. Roberts and Barrett sided with 4 leftist justices while Alito wrote blistering dissent.

https://www.breitbart.com/poli...-foreign-aid-freeze/

"Justice Samuel Alito led four conservative justices in dissent. In a blistering opinion, he said that district courts lacks the authority to order the payments, noting that once money is out the door, further appeals may be ineffective

In a blistering opinion, Alito wrote that the Supreme Court is rewarding “an act of judicial hubris and imposes a $2 billion penalty on American taxpayers.”

I preface this by stating that I have not read the ruling yet, and I know I am going to get flamed for this, but this is why we should never appoint another female judge to the bench, in my opinion.

We all know men and women are different, both physically and emotionally.

I love women and they are a gift from God.

With respect to men, we are stupid and there will always be something/many things in our past that would point to how we would perform in any particular job. We all knew, or should have known, that Roberts would turn out like he has. Squishy and spineless.

Either we did not look hard enough or we were blinded by the thought of having a majority on the SCOTUS that we did not think about her being a woman. I do not think the Honorable Mrs. Barrett's emotional brain can be overcome by her rational/analytical/critical thinking brain in some instances. Also, I believe her being the only woman on "our side" is difficult for her especially with those other women on "their side". I am sure behind the scenes it is like most women-based reality shows with them being catty to one another and Mrs. Barrett wanting to be liked (i.e. Real Housewives or some other shit-show they call entertainment).

This is not the first time she has been on the wrong side of a ruling that appeared to be clear-cut.

Again, my opinion and I expect to take my lumps for this. I am your typical simple/stupid man...
