EDIT: Original Title: "No news of China's protests on Drudge?"

I think it's more important to discuss the main topic as now titled. I find it amazing that in the US, students protest for reduced free speach, and in China, freedom is all they want. Rather than focus on our young knuckleheads, Let's keep the positive vibes flowing for our fellow man in the east.

-------------
I saw some videos on YouTube of the escalating protests in China. A quick Google for news and I get the drift. It seems very significant, and China is even relaxing their draconian CV restrictions.

In the RARE occasion I give in to looking at news, I tend to at least pop to Drudge for some links out. I was SHOCKED that there isn't a single word of this significant event.

Is Drudge now in the Chi-Com's pocket? He's been a fear-feed for a long time, and thus I VERY rarely go there. Seems incredible, and IMO cannot be an oversight.

Drudge has been bought by communist fucks. It’s not worth reading. Was it ever really worth reading with that shittastic high school build your own website format?

I had no idea. Like I said (and shamefully so), I pretty much hide from the news like an ignorant village idiot. I just can't take it anymore.

No shame in that rOgue. Checking out from politics from time to time is good for ones mental health.

I never liked the drudge website but I know some did. They were quite disappointed that the website owners acquired special needs or mental retardation of some sort.

Dan Bongino picked up the flag and ran with it when the Drudge Report was compromised by Leftists. He created his own 'News Aggregator' site...The Bongino Report.

https://bonginoreport.com/

It was reported that Matt Drudge had sold the site in 2019 and was no longer involved in its operations, which 'could' help explain the change in editorial direction, though it could be argued that he had went to the 'dark side' prior to that.

I go to Liberty Daily as an admittedly biased substitute for Drudge. Not my only source for news, but I like the cut of their jib.

What strikes me about China is that so many people are willing to be enforcers of the state.

It's a hopeful event that people are starting to protest; but it's not going to be pretty.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." China Insights on YouTube is not half-bad for chicomm activities.

I mean it’s on Google, so it’s only gonna go so far …

There's quite a bit of video getting out and its pretty much as you'd expect...overbearing gov officials, people getting fed-up but, not quite loosing it...the tension is there.

The two hosts used to live in China, married Chinese women and started families. Both were forced to leave China as the CCP was starting to get nosey & aggressive due to their videos & commentary. Most public postings of what's going on in China are posted on social sites Weibo, Baidu, TikTok, Tencent and WeChat, platforms that most Westerners are not familiar with.

There is no way that Matt Drudge owns or has anything to do with that website any longer.

He either sold out and made shitload of money, and has a clause where he is not allowed to open his mouth or he is dead.

Here's some stories as covered by WION:

I've found their coverage of events is generally balanced and competent, at least it appears so to me.

The Chinese government has demonstrated that they are willing to murder their subjects. In today's world with phones (cameras) everywhere, the Chinese communists would have a much more difficult time concealing the truth than they did with Tiananmen Square, and that may make all the difference.
