With Classifieds closed temporarily, thieves will look for ways to continue the grift: Hijack an older, established account- one that has permissions to access member profiles- then seek out an active member who has expressed interest in high-dollar firearms, then contact that member via email with an offer to sell such firearms or other high-dollar items.

In this forum, contacting members unsolicited with offers to sell is discouraged, to say the least; always has been, always will be. This type of behavior is the gas station sushi of commerce. For reasons which are obvious, this is particularly suspicious right now. I would appreciate an email from any of you who are contacted in this manner.

One member mentioned that he might be thinking of selling a pistol. I did send him an email asking him to contact me if he decided to sell that particular one.

I was just about to respond when I saw V-Tail already mentioned it. I did send a response that I was thinking about it, and had every intention to post in the Classifieds sometime this weekend (hadn't been there in a while and didn't know they were closed). Not sure how to proceed at this point...
