Scheinbaum objects to CIA participation in Cartel raid...

Mexico is corrupt to its core! They will do almost nothing to rein in the Cartels, yet bitchabout it when we assist.

The preponderance of drugs coming in to the USA come through and from Mexico. The refusal to allow us to assist in stopping the flow makes the Mexican Government complicit in the importation of drugs that kill 100,000 Americans per year!

I have a very bad attitude toward the corruption in Mexico - the Police and Government bear responsibility for the Cartels running their business without fear of retaliation due to being on the Cartel payroll!

Time for a series of "Clear and Present Danger" air strikes...

People in the Mexican Government don't like their money being messed with.

It's an uphill battle combatting a multi-billion dollar industry that can pay off, terrorize or kill damn near anyone they want.

"Plata o Plomo" as Pablo Escobar used to say.

The proper response to the cartels is way overdue. Use our intelligence services to find them and eliminate them. The Mexican political system has made their ill-gotten money. The money pipeline needs to come to an end. On our side of the border the drug business needs to be prosecuted and no more slap on the wrist sentences. Local news regularly has stories of people caught with very large quantities receiving a few years instead of taking them off the streets for a couple of decades. For the top of the drug business, hang them.

There is so much money in drugs, that it has infiltrated many seemingly legitimate businesses to launder it. Banks, trucking companies, logistics and shipping companies, warehouses, you name it. The people in charge know where the money is coming from, but they have plausible deniability and a bunch of shell companies and other methods to distance themselves. And the money makes its way back to the politicians making and enforcing the laws.

Fixing the problem means turning off the money spigot.
