Damn, this sounds good. I'll give it a try this weekend. Another way is to coat the corn with garlic butter when hot. Very good.

Jim,
Thanks.
Feel free to send me an email and glad to answer any questions. Will give you a number, so we can talk, if needed.

I just now saw this. I already gave it a try. Surprisingly good. I didn't start with the microwave, I just threw them on the grill and waited for them to heat up and drizzled the soy sauce on them a few times and rotated them and they came out great thanks for the tip.

Jim

We are having smaller rib eyes tonight, cooked on the grill and I bought two ears of corn to try in the microwave.

Really looking forward to it.

UPDATE:

I will never consider making corn on the cob in any other manner except the microwave.

Had it yesterday, had it tonight again. Delicious, easy to make, and fast.

It did not get done in 3 minutes, it took five, but that most likely is because I was doing two ears (wife has to eat, too). I was using a new either 1100 or 1200 (I forget) watt Whirlpool.

Had 'em with Ribeyes tonight and was just wowed.

Thanks to SF again, another valuable tip which I'll appreciate each time we make corn.

Unlike conventional opens, microwave times are pretty much proportional to the weight of the food. You should expect ~6 minutes for two ears of corn.

well, Hell, I'm still trying to figure out how Shugart weaves pot holders out of bacon.
