911BossI always knew there was something special about Taco Bell
You want answers?
I think I'm entitled to.You want answers?
I WANT THE TRUTH!YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!
Son, we live in a world that has hunger, and that hunger has to be satiated by minimum wage workers with steam bins. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Jose Gonzales?
Taco Bell has a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for authentic Mexican food and you curse fast faux Mexican food. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know; that Taco Bell, while toxic, probably saved lives. And it’s existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, *saves lives*.
You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at sit-down restaurants, you want Taco Bell on that border. You
need to make that run for the border. We use words like Encherito, Chalupa, Gordita. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent feeding the late night munchies. You use them as a punchline.
I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain Taco Bell to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of satisfaction that it provides, and then questions the type of the animal which provides it!
I would rather you just said
"Number 3, Supreme, with a Pepsi - thank you" and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you go home and cook from scratch. Either way, I don't give a *damn* what you think you are entitled to!
What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

.38supersigTaco Hell isn't what it used to be. It has gone down hill quite a bit lately.
I get it that I don't have a strip steak in my shell when ordering a $5 box of tacos, but dang, it just isn't worth eating now (plus the added fact that the local TH is located next door to a Chick-fil-A).

lkdr1989In the 90's I lived across the street from a Taco Bell and loved it!!! $3 went a long way, $6 was practically a family meal! I haven't been to one in probably 10 yrs.

Sunset_VaMany "American-Mex" restaurants in my area, a meal at most of them will run you $12 w/o a tip.
A similar meal at Taco Bell costs about $8 sans a tip.
The only difference is decor and $4.

Always thought that same thing myself. Sonic is another that does the same thing. Their stuff pretty much all tastes the same.

Spokane228Excellent work 911Boss. And fitting. Anytime I eat at the Bell, it’s followed by a “Code Red”.

Well that is pretty much all American-style Mexican food.
But calling Taco Bell "Mexican food" requires quite a suspension of disbelief. And I suspect that whatever you call, the fact that it is the biggest seller is due solely to the fact that in much of the country, it is damn near the only "Mexican food."
The fact that it's NOT "Mexican food" is one of the principal reasons I'll eat there. (I'm not fond of Mexican food. I have the same idea about "Chinese" food--I'll eat some of what is called that in the US, but I nearly starved in China.)

TommydoggSometime in the future, all restaurants will be Taco Bell! Around the same time toilet paper will be replaced by 3 seashells!

DbltapToxic Hell baby!
Many moons ago my stomach jacked me up at 2am roiling, churning and screaming with the undigested viral mass of Toxic Hell.
Eager to induce, the vociferous pressurized projections of offending food stuffs and gastric acids scorched the oral and nasal passages. The memes are still going strong and so is my aversion to Mexican food.
