Friend has car in shop, waiting on parts, i loaned her my old car 2 weeks ago, she called me today and told that the driver side front wheel was about off, she found 4 lug nuts within 10 feet of the car. She had just pulled out of her parking space. (She is an attorney) I think someone removed the lug nuts intentionally.

Nope. Lug nuts often unthread themselves and jump away from the vehicle!

One lug nut would be odd. Four lug nuts is intentional.

The car would of been on blocks if it was a tire theft?

Any security cameras in the area?

They should have cut off the break line, or whatever. I saw it on TV.

This has my mind racing. Has to be intentional but was it aimed at her or at you? Was the car parked anywhere close to where you normally travel? If not, she may have an angry client or a party on the other side of a pending case is pretty angry.

Time for security cameras that monitor her door and parking area.

Does she have locking lug nuts on her car? If not, might be worth considering.

Intentional.

Years ago a buddy of mine's wife had a girlfriend come visit... a 50 mile drive, each way. All she could do the whole time was trash her husband and explain how she was divorcing him and was going take him for everything, screw him over good, blah, blah, blah on and on.

He got tired of the crap spewing and decided to go run some errands. As he went out he went by her car and noticed that all of the lug nuts on her right front wheel were gone except one. Coincidence? Telling me about it later he says, guess we will see who screws over who ...

This buddy of mine is a rough old don't give a shit country boy... I didn't pin him down but I don't believe he even told her.

Curious => Did the tire come off? Was your car damaged? If the time came off - was she injured?

Seriously, I think "they" just wanted to steal parts. And for some reasons, maybe something scared them off right in the middle of their job, hence, the result. No one wanted to take her out.
