Half the country have lost their minds, and they believe the other half is crazy! Or evil. We seem to have entered another mass formation psychosis, like we had with Covid. It's pretty much the same group, so maybe it is just a continuation of the same psychosis that has reappeared. They're being played hard, yet they refuse to see it. The last go-round cost me sime long time friend and family relationships. It essentially forced me out of my career since I was a jab refuser. TDS 2.0 is costing me more relationships as they get wound up in the media hype. Places that used to be tacitly agreed as no-politics zones are disappearing.

Fighting the good fight![]() |
That's the truth. Political divides have invaded every facet of daily life lately. It's exhausting. A buddy was telling me a few weeks ago about how a lady at his church jumped up mid-Mass, interrupting the priest's homily, and began shrieking about Trump and Charlie Kirk.

Exhausting is an excellent description! The lady interrupting mass is a lunatic. Just wow. Playing music has been a long time hobby, and of course most of the community are solid D voters, but nobody discussed politics during music. We're there for a common interest, and nobody cared how others voted. Until Trump 45, where a few couldn't restrain their TDS for just a couple of hours. I keep my politics quiet at rehearsals, jams, and shows, and the escalating hate I heard up through Covid was sometimes shocking. Perhaps I should have revealed myself one of those times so that they'd have to reconcile their beliefs. My current circle of musician friends is becoming more openly politically hostile. I may be forced to go Country.

It’s insane as I have watched men who fought and bled together that would give their li es for one another become hateful towards each other. " The people shall have a right to bear arms, for the defense of themselves and the State" Art 1 Sec 32 Indiana State Constitution YAT-YAS

TDS is fascinatingly real, unfortunately! I have seen folks I've known for years get gripped by it to the point of crazy. It is such a foreign idea for me, when Obama (or Biden) was president, I remember thinking that we just had to 'wait it out' and the pendulum would swing back at some point. * --- Sig 365, 365XL, 245, P6 *

I asked a local Police officer what was up with all the inattentive driving earlier this year. Or the crazy shit on the highway where people in one lane are going 15-20 mph under the speed limit and the next lane over people are doing 90. The general crazy, scratch that, bat shit crazy driving even on city streets. How it’s like a lunatic asylum on the streets. The up til then silent LEO riding shotgun, looked up from his laptop and said “Covid” then his partner said “It just never left.” What I take from that exchange is these fucking idiots have never gone through shit in their lives. Spoiled princesses that never had to suffer. I’ve been without food days on end many times. No power. No water. Any utility being shut off, been there. 9/11, so many different things. These idiots, zero. And I lost the mother I never had, my aunt, to the intubator. She died of Covid. If anyone has an excuse to act like a loon it would be me as I only got 5-6 years with her. Yet I don’t act like this. I don’t drive crazy. I’m not on social media applications and couldn’t give a fuck less about them. Only what I see the algorithms doing to the simpleton lefty mind. We are all sick of it dude. That’s why Trump got elected and it was a a landslide. All the political positions in general, went right. People are just tired of this crazy shit where people overreact. Where they wake up looking for something or someone to be offended by. It’s making my life hell because all around me, driving anywhere, is a zoo. Mundane shit like getting groceries is a massive undertaking now, putting up with bs and narcissistic ass holes. People at work don’t want to work. So I have to clean up their mess that is not my responsibility. My only answer for myself. Work on getting rural dude. It will take years but I’m all in. I’m exhausted from this crazy shit. I call them heathens. Society is mostly heathens here. The majority. On the phone. Politics 24/7. Rest of us have bill and shit, medical things to tend to. We don’t have time for cray cray. Give it a got damn rest. But they won’t. I’m counting the days until my ass can move permanently. I never want to see a major metro ever again unless I need medical treatment. What am I doing? Try living in a '74 Pinto station wagon in the winter in the upper midwest, eating PBJ sandwiches and tuna out of the can because that's all you can afford. Yep, been there done that. It toughened me up. ________________________________________________________ It is long past time for a Convention of States. Aaah, the stories some of us could tell. I believe we are still called 'survivors', lol.

Yup. Our generation(s) will be the last for a while, that can tell these stories, of reality. Current gens don’t care, not interested, etc. Revisionist history and recency bias run amuck. My point is they haven’t gone through real shit. They have been coddled. It toughens you up as you said. So you can handle some shit. They can’t handle anything. They’ve got a domicile, utilities, food, transportation, etc. Yet they act like they are living in that ‘74 Pinto. No, not the same thing. Those of us who have gone through shit, we just grinded through it and did what we had to do. Survival. They have no experience whatsoever in this space. It’s why they vote the way they do. It’s why they live their lives on their phone. Convenience based lifestyles with no reference point of hard times. You need a North Star. They don’t have one. It’s just tough dealing with so many of them at once in society. I think that is what op meant, at least to me. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

This is why you are still relatively sane. IMO Social Media is turning in people into Sheeple competing to see who is best at copying the "leader" of their particular herd. Don't have a clue as to how to put a stop to this shit but am forming the opinion that being an "Influencer" should be a class 1 Felony. I've stopped counting.
