I’ve been on the couch since 11 last night. Can’t use my cpap machine cause I have so much nasal congestion. That means I’m on the couch cause I snore. Damn cough is making me sore cause I’m hacking so hard. I might have dosed off for an hour or two around 1am. This sucks. Yes, I’m a pussy when it comes to being sick. I am in the same boat but I am sleeping in the recliner. I have been fighting this crud for about two weeks. I spoke with my parents in FL and they fought for about the same length. The only downside is the animals are driving me nuts. I get really edgy when I am sick. The other half is in Cleveland, OH taking care of her sister who had knee surgery, so at least I am not bothering her. I am aching in places that I didn't know still worked from all the coughing.

I had the same problem last week. Five days sleeping in the recliner, couldn't use the cpap. Sore throat from sinus. Now it's down to blowing my nose 50 times a day. Living the Dream

Go to Walmart and get some Sambucol. I haven't had the flu since 1993 when I gave my last bottle to a co-worker under the agreement that he would replace it. You had to mail order it at the time and it was $20. I like the syrup. ..................... Sambucol, a standardized extract of black elderberry, has shown some promise in fighting the avian flu virus, particularly the H5N1 strain, by potentially blocking the virus's ability to enter cells. Here's a more detailed look: Sambucol's Mechanism: Research suggests that Sambucol can blunt the "haemaglutinin spikes" on the outside of influenza viruses, preventing them from attaching to and entering cells, thus stopping the virus from reproducing and spreading. H5N1 Avian Flu: Sambucol has been studied specifically for its potential to combat the H5N1 strain of avian influenza, a serious and potentially deadly form of bird flu. Other Influenza Strains: Sambucol has also been shown to be effective against other influenza strains in lab settings. Antiviral Properties: Sambucol is considered a natural remedy with antiviral properties, which can be helpful in reducing the duration and severity of flu symptoms. Treatment Options: While Sambucol may offer some benefits, it's important to note that oseltamivir (Tamiflu) is the recommended antiviral medication for treating symptomatic patients suspected or confirmed to have novel influenza A viruses, including H5N1 avian flu. Food Safety: To prevent the spread of avian influenza, it's crucial to practice food safety measures, including cooking poultry and eggs thoroughly to an internal temperature of 165°F. 41

Thanks for that, 41. I’ve taken sambuca before, don’t know why I didn’t think of it. Went to the doc today, after last nights miserableness.. I didn’t want a whole weekend of it on the couch. Neg for flu and covid. Just some yuck upper respiratory virus going around. Got a steroid shot in my ass and a prescription cough syrup. Nose is clearer tonight, hoping for some better sleep. The sinus crud hit me on Sunday. I've missed three days of work over it, and I'm a little peeved about that. I called a former coworker (and great friend) this evening to say, "happy birthday, young lady!" -- she's 77, I think -- and learned that she's got pneumonia. Now, that's a sucky birthday gift! ![]() Get well quickly, y'all! God bless America.

One the things that declines as we get older is your NAD level. Dr. Conlon has done work in this area: 41

Looks like they have a site dedicated to NAD: https://www.nad.com/ I have read that the high death rate of older people with COVID was due to low NAD levels: https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/produ...databriefs/db446.htm Dr. Mercola interviews Dr. Conlon: https://articles.mercola.com/s...-optimal-health.aspx 41

I was sick for the first week of January then a week after that one I caught something even worse which lasted three more weeks. Lots of sinus congestion and coughing up similar. Hard to control my temperature, mostly cold. Low energy. I didn’t realize how bad I felt until it was over. I treated with a switch up between mucinex, Sudafed, and Advil. It seemed to never end. “That’s what.” - She
