Depending on how close one lives to NH, and the type/location of their employment, there are other options rather than just sucking it up in MA that one could (should?) consider. NH is a free state and definitely offers a lower cost of living, so there's two HUGE advantages right there! Relocation and commuting can be a feasible in certain circumstances...Just Sayin' Wink

Well it is understandable of a priority to family vs simple owning guns the fight is much more complicated to this as an either/or statement.
Everyone has to draw that line in the sand of freedom vs security for themselves.

You boys file that however you like.

I'll not take a hint of shade from someone outside looking in over this, and don't you dare criticize my life choices.

I'm sure you'd have enough integrity to react in the same way, should the roles be reversed.

MA is a place with a load of history, and I sure do wish the pampered intellectual suburban elites remembered such, but we are where we are.

So when I say "Mind your own fucking business," I do mean it. This state needs people like me, really. Go ahead and be offended, in your "free states." But pardon me if I take issue with being criticized for my presence here, it's only been hell, approaching two decades of "just leave" and other BS from water heads.

The bill proposed in MA is worth taking note of, regardless of how you feel about what I have to say. The people fleeing failing blue states, are coming to your urban areas. Austin?....

Roll your eyes all you like. It's good to know gun owners support those "behind enemy lines," or do they?

Life's not just about guns, true.
Once you move elsewhere, if you choose well, you see the oppressive laws and interference into your choices and opportunities go well beyond the terrible gun laws.
Try to open and operate a business there and you get the same thing.
The gun laws in those states are just a symptom of the rot.

I'm not censoring him, or telling him not to discuss it. I'm showing him where the line is. If you're offended, it's on you. I'm not going to take high-horse dogshit about my choice to remain in MA, and damn skippy I'll make sure folks understand that. Opinions are one thing, wandering towards criticizing me for remaining behind enemy lines for life choices, is something y'all need to know I have no interest in tolerating.

Go ahead and judge me all you like. Say what you will, it actually has significantly less impact than it would when I was staff. It's pretty easy to criticize a former moderator, but find me one still a member where they used to be a moderator.

Search your feelings. You know I'm right.

Big new coming out of MA. Things seem to be moving in the right direction. Good for those courts brave enough to stand for all rights.

I really do hope that the outlandish stunts pushed by MA and other dipshit states, get crushed at the SC... but who can say. WA, IL, CA, the list is too long of state full of people eager to cede violence to the state. That's how we get packed into boxcars, you asshats. All the transgender and abortion shit goes away, along with the free speech you didn't want cuz it hurt your fee-fees.

NO ONE is anti-gun. It's a debate on whether a government should have a monopoly on force. For everyone who thought Orange Man Bad, but still votes gun control... yah brah, you're no deep thinker.

terms, and this is for Gunbroker auctions,
20% down,
balance in 60 days,

GB erases the listing after 90 days, so as long as you pay it off in 60. we (me, the dealer, and the buyer) can see the transaction, leave feedback etc etc

not had a problem,, yet

The bill is formally introduced now. Law enforcement is against it, I and others have made our voices know, but we are a minority and I expect it to pass. Unless there are some very well connected people who can sway lawmakers.

I don't expect it to withstand legal challenge, but that will take years.

Again and again, gun control toolsheds in every state pay lip service to lowering gun deaths.. but these laws do nothing. Socioeconomics are how to drive down violent crime.

Why has MA had relatively low gun crime? Because of economic prosperity in urban and suburban areas, and the same out west. Gun crime in the state fits specific demographics.

But they aren't at it to solve a problem. They want the tools of violence only at the hands of the state. Which is both short sighted and a damn shame for anyone who understands fucking History.

The people who write gun laws, don't know insecurity or hardship, they are motivated by power and they want that power in elite hands. The Leftists here in this state, are quite confident in their superior intellect, and have no regard for the common man. Useful idiots, and for the most part the voting populace plays that role.

Government has a role to play in all of our lives. When government exceeds its authority, I care not whether the banner is red or blue. An elite political class is only interested in gathering and perpetuating power, and they will absolutely remove as many rights as possible from the common man. I'd wish that the people who were involved in the birth of our nation here in MA, would rise from the grave and put it right. That won't happen, and I doubt the pampered intellectuals will stop in their quest to eliminate rights. Except to murder the unborn or validate the "gender" of minors..

You all judge me how you will for sticking around here in MA, for my opinions and conduct on this board, it's easy to judge. We all make choices in life and do the best we can. Certainly at this point in my life, I'm not here to make friends. If you don't like me now, I'm no politician. I never was. I've never been perfect, I can only be unvarnished. My overall experience with people in meatspace or online, has only ever reinforced that I don't like people. I actually go by the old school definition of Tolerance. Or the polluted Wiccan one, "Do as thou wilt, though it harm none." Down East that's - Leave me alone, I leave you alone.

There are so many things wrong in the country right now, but I can simply point to the idea that misgendering someone is violence, as clear evidence that society is decadent and unskilled. The intellectual rigor of our founding fathers is all but abandoned, their views of freedom perverted.

Liberty. What of liberty. I suppose it's not for the poors now, and the "Democratic Party" is demonstrably bought and paid for. Certainly they lost the working class as Hillary failed in 2016, and have made no effort to look to reclaim it. Save unions..

What a mess.

Well put arc.
The goal is NOT reduced “ gun violence” but more control with the sta and less with the people, which is exactly what the founding fathers didn’t want

Where are they going to put the hundreds of thousands of people pouring in to the state in hopes of being safe ?

I live in Illinois and between cook county politics and Springfield politics.

People are looking for many reasons to relocate.

Today's politics just get more and more ridiculous. the whole "migrant" thing is laughable, particularly when NY and other "sanctuary" states are now going "No, not like that!"

The dumb MA law is currently stalled, good work, guvmint! The system works by not working!

I live in Illinois,
I don't talk about politics here.
This state needs desperately to stop having law makers on the pay roll.

Because , guess what,
When you pay people to make laws , they will make something, any thing up to make it a law.

If one person can't carry all the law books to their car in one trip.

YOU HAVE TOO MANY LAWS!

Which of course is the point, they don't care if it's unconstitutional as long as they get restrictions in place until told to stop

Other states, adopting BS gun laws, is a shame. In MA, where this nation began, it is a deep, deep stain on the very soul of this nation.

Currently, the new shitpile is hung up in procedural formalities.

Gun control is a lie, economics and social factors produce the environment for any type of violence. MA has "low gun violence" because of its demographics, but they will still keep trying to turn lawful gun owners into felons.

It's almost enough to make me throw tea in a harbor.
