I had no idea that this absolute beauty existed!!!
If Jaguar had a stellar reputation for dependability and reliability I would own one today. What an absolute treat this thing would be. If there was actually a legit extended warranty company with bumper to bumper coverage I would even contemplate that to be able to own one of these.
3.0L Supercharged motor, AWD, with a sport tuned suspension.

I'd prefer an AMG E-Class, but the Jag is a looker for sure.

Well the E63 falls in the same category of course but same age and mileage you’re looking at $35k plus in price difference between the Jag and Benz also like 225hp more in the Benz.

I can afford $30kish not $65k

I'd be happy with the old supercharged E55, always liked the look of the hot W211

Not that any are remotely in my budget.

2005 E55 wagons in desirable condition are running in the $30s.
I could swing it but not looking for the maintenance costs and while they are slick, that Jag is way better in the looks department and only a smidge slower.

May as well drop the BMW e39 wagons in there too.

I daily a BMW E61 wagon, and have a e46 (6spd) in the garage.
You know, Buick made a decent wagon in the Regal TourX, but ended in 2020.
Just saw a Acura TSX wagon today, I don' think the young lady driving it realized what she had...

I love some wagons but they really need to come with some juice.
The TSX wagon was in the era of that awful bird beak front end and if I need more than 200hp.

The Regal is not a bad option but just meh in the looks department.

The BMW e39s are the best lookers in my book. I’d take a newer one. I just can’t jump on board unless it’s super reliable.

I have been spoiled by our Toyotas.
A Lexus LS wagon would be the bees knees.

The TSX wagon would've been great with a 6MT
Love the E39, but don't thing the 540 wagon could be had with a stick here.

On another forum, someone posted a BaT auction for an imported W202 C43 AMG wagon...drool. would prefer a C36, but always liked the W202 a lot.
Loved my W205 sedan, a wagon would've have been hard to give up

I love the look of Audi wagons. Whether the A4, the S4 Avant which I think never made it to these shores, or the current RS6 Avant. If I were a bachelor I'd probably have one of those.

The S4 made it here.
I had a 2001 A4 Avant in dark blue which I bought over an S4 Avant in yellow because it had 25k miles more.
The A4 was on Koni Coilovers and Coninental Contitrac DWS tires and it was a freaking blast!

The S4 would have been nuts.

Guy down the road a block or two from me has 2 B5 S4 sedans & a JCW Cooper in the driveway.
The B5 is still a great looking car.

Had an A4 Avant S line 6spd MT in the early 2000's. One on the long list of cars I'm sorry I got rid of. Always loved wagons. I think it's in my family genes as my brother just got himself a new Volvo V60. Only thing missing is a MT.

We had a Jaguar XF Supercharged. It was the first model year for the XF. 425 glorious horses from the factory.

Being a Jaguar it did have some gremlins but we loved that car. Had to trade it in when after the warranty was up it started to flash an intermittent Transmission fault.

Looks like an older Volvo wagon to my eye.

Watch the Grand Tour Jaguar episode when they were in Colorado trying to disprove the reputation for unreliability.

Years ago one of my draftsmen at work had a Caprice Wagon that he turned into an Impala SS. He had a built LT-1 and a seriously upgraded suspension. If was a fun wagon. LS swapping on the big Buick, Olds and Caprice wagons from the early 90's has kind of grown into it's own form. I always thought it would be fun to resto mod a late 60's Olds Vista Cruiser.

Good looking wagon

I wanted a CTSV wagon with a six speed when they were still making them. The design hasn't aged very well

The Mrs. wanted a Land Rover this last go around for her. I did a little bit of research and was over whelmed with how shitty they are. It didn't take long to convince her to stay away

My wife pines for a Range Rover or a LR Defender.
They get pushed into the veto pile for me. I'd lean more toward the new Toyota Land Cruiser, if I were buying new today.

I hate sedans but I did look for a B7 RS4 for a couple of years. AWD, V8 (glorious sounding motor), 6MT. And the AWD system was rear wheel biased. They can be a real pain to maintain as well but in the end all of them had 80k, 90k, 100k+ on the ODO. It would have quickly turned into a resto project and just been an absolute money pit.

I stay with the JDM’s for good reason. They just run and needed minimal maintenance compared to the Euro produced performance variants. The Euro stuff has all become bloated. Way too heavy, and way too complicated which make them a nightmare, to me, for long term ownership. Even short time ownership is no good, because of the depreciation. I can admire stuff from afar, knowing I don’t have to foot the bill.

Fair on all points.
I've missed out, over the years, on 6 W201 Mercedes 190E.
4x 2.6 Sportline LE
2x 2.3-16 Cosworth

Just bad timing on my part with them all.
Nice light compact sedans. Still wouldn't mind either of them.
