IBTL.

Seriously, what’s the point of posting it?

You look like an even bigger dork when the thread doesn’t get locked.

Well, a $50 fine for using a trite expression should take care of this terrible problem. Smile

Is anyone else getting tired of seeing posts that are written in iambic pentameter?

Oh, rats! I think I missed those, having been distracted by the whole "methinks" thing. Iambic pentameter could be even more fun than Haiku.... Big Grin

Haiku is for amateurs. We're moving on to sonnets.

I thought I was the only one here irritated by guberment, goobermint, and .gov

Spell it out - government. As in federal government. Not Federal. No need to capitalize federal or every other noun or verb. The rules of capitalization have gone out the window.

“I was taught ….”

That expression really annoys me. What you were taught doesn’t matter. People were “taught” that the Earth is flat; that the only reason birds can fly is because Allah holds them up in the air; that Stalin, Hitler, and Kim Il Sung were great and admirable men; and countless other things that aren’t true. If you believe putting your finger on the trigger before the intention to shoot is unsafe, have the confidence to say, “Don’t put your finger on the trigger; it’s unsafe”; not, “I was taught to keep my finger off the trigger.”
