Congrats! I gave those smarmy assholes the boot about five years ago.

I think the word “smarmy” was created to describe that outfit.

I just said up front unless I get $6 per month cancel and they did it without a fight. That covers my car and all my other devices.

I mostly listen to Ozzy’s Boneyard and Patriot radio.

Same here. I like the Sinatra channel and a couple others. I to pay around $6 a month. As long as they continue to offer the discount, I'll continue to subscribe.

Yep, $6.00/month is what I pay also. Cheap entertainment and no loss of signal like you get with stations with antennas on hills or mountains.

I cancelled them recently too. I just didn't use it that much. My commute is short, and on road trips, I just prefer using Carplay. The cancellation process was pretty easy this time. I did it using the text/chat function. They still went through the same series of questions and special offers to get me to stay, but I didn't have to listen to the guy and just typed "no cancel" after each text. It didn't take long, and they sent me a cancellation confirmation right away that included the credit refund amount.

I has six months free with a new car, signed up for six more months for $5 per. Got my first charge for $21.95. on Thursday called to clear up the misunderstanding. called again Friday. more than 15 minutes wait each time and I gave up.

I'm done. I haven't called yet today but I'm out. WTF kind of business model is it to treat your customers like yesterdays socks.

I miss my CD player already.

I've been doing the annual "let's make a deal" game with them since 2007.

Until this year, it's always been a matter of letting the subscription cancel, waiting for them to call every other day, then live chatting (had to be live) with a retention specialist to cut the deal.

This year was remarkably easier. I only had to let the subscription lapse for about 3 days before I hopped online and got the new subscriber price of $5.95/mo. (or something like that) for car & streaming from a live chat rep. Didn't have to call anyone live for the first time in 15 years.

I don't think I've ever paid more than $6-7/mo. Given that 80% of the time I'm listening to XM Patriot (125), that's not a bad deal at all.

I got 2 lifetime subscriptions back in 2004. They credited the 18 months of free service when I bought a vehicle and I think I paid $400 each, net.

Definition of "Lifetime" right in the contract was original radio plus 3 swaps, for a total of 4 radios.

I am on my last radio in my current truck of one of the accounts and thought my good thing was over.

Turns out some dude named Alvarez sued and made Sirius change the definition in the contract to my actual lifetime with a $35 fee anytime I want to swap a radio.

I could not listen to FM radio and the 22+ minutes of commercials per hour after almost 2 decades of commercial free music.

Being able to listen to the home feed for most sporting events I want to listen to regardless of where I am.

I think the last letter they sent me was for $5.99 a month for 1 year and I still turned it down. Way too many commercials for something you pay for. Since Covid I'm not driving as much anyway.

Commercials on SiriusXM? I've only had it for 10 months but I've never heard a commercial on it.

My buddy wisely bought the same deal about the same time. If you have the original p-work, you might note there's no stipulation for the number of radios (my buddy has the original p-work an there isn't any wording about three radios).

He's on his his fifth or sixth receiver.

Commercial free music stations. Other stations - not so much - all the usual suspects, car and home warranties, Medicare, gold, quack remedies etc etc

No commercials on some of the music stations, but they still talk WAY too much. Pushing other stations, or just the DJ talking between songs. Just play the damn music!!

The one year trial just expired in the company vehicle yesterday. I listen to Stern and Hair nation plus a bunch more, have not listened to traditional in years. Bought lifetime back in 08 and have now transferred it at least 8 times. Went to add the company vehicle but not paying 20 a month. Let's see if they send me an email with a discount, since it looked like I was signing on the website then changed my mind

My wife's subscription that came with her 2020 Honda lapsed over a year ago and she's still getting offers of a deal. Every time I go to the dealer for service on my 2017 Outback, I get an email offering me three months service free, despite the fact that I'm already a subscriber. Six weeks ago,, it was like pulling teeth to find out the Christmas music channels. They talked about them on their website but no channel numbers. I had to call them. Briefly put, these people are crooks. The number one rule is, never give them a credit card. Unless you keep track of your renewal date, suddenly you'll find a $230 charge on your card. I call them a week before my renewal date, negotiate the best price and insist they send me an invoice, which I pay by check.

I loved XM, Lucy, Fred and Ethel,

great channels, limited DJ and some good theme type shows on Lucy, (as in start with one artist, then migrate to another via who played in which band type historical stuff)

then they merged with Sirius, and now we got DJ's,

I thought Alt Madison was funny,
Dick Blade made me want to reach thru the radio and bitch slap him, and delete his Erasure songs from teh net,

now, while the wife still has it in her car, my ride is not XM/Sirius capable,

and I don't mind
