His argument isn't silly at all. There have been a lot of fake and real cops who are rapists and murderers and you should know that.

I had my home visited by the NorCal Rapist (a cop) late one night many years ago. Dressed exactly like a real cop because he was a real cop. A uniform or what appears to be one is trivial to get and anyone can do it these days and any small differences in appearance between a real cop and a fake one would be difficult for the average person to see. They might even think it was just due to different departments in the same force.

Those are real cops who were rapists and serial killers. Are you advocating that we don't pull over for real cops because a few of them are rapists?

But this isn't about real cop rapists. What about imposter cop rapists? Those are the bogeymen that are being used to argue against stealth car traffic enforcement.

No, I'm advocating we have our wives/daughters call 911 and turn on their flashers and a safe place to pull over where there are a bunch of witnesses.

Personally I don't think unmarked/ghost marked police cars should ever be used for traffic patrol. If an unmarked car see's an infraction they should radio for a clearly marked car to handle the situation for the reasons above.

When you are pulled over all you see is the front end of the police car behind you. You do not see the sides, back, etc. if you previously passed the police car, and hopefully paid attention, then you MIGHT HAVE seen the ghost markings but then again the police car has been designed to be camouflaged.

I ask again, would you have your spouse or teenage daughter pull over? If it is truly about safety, and not about generating revenue, why in the hell would they use ghost marked cars for traffic patrol and risk anyone’s safety of getting murdered, raped, and/or kidnapped?

A gosh darn traffic ticket IS NOT WORTH it given the proven potential outcomes above.

In addition there are tons of fake cop reports pulling over innocents. It happens on a regular basis.
