Need to get a copy of the glasses prescription.

Call eye doc, like I have in the past, and request a copy be emailed to me.

Get told I need to log in to the patient portal & I can get it there.

Get sent a login link, but no password
Click 'forgot password' and get another email to reset my password
Put in all the information to verify my account & it returns to the login screen.
Impossible to reset password, and therefore can't get the prescription.

20 minutes on the phone, 3 transfers & multiple holds for them to just email a copy to me. And that's after fighting with their AI answering service to get to a real person.

This one doesn't even recognize keypad presses.
Sit silent long enough & it'll tfr, or ask for asinine things that it can't comprehend.

I always take the prescription immediately somewhere I can scan it - keep an electronic copy in several places. Always have it on a USB stick when I travel.

I recently submitted a reimbursement claim with my health insurance, using Medicare part B receipts. I had to log into my insurance site, which had changed their system. I had to first get 2 factor with a text, THEN two factor with e-mail. Once I got in and found the place to prep the form, I was told I was going to a 3rd party site which had a new system. I had to create an account, set a password, and, you guessed it, have the two factor (I guess actually 3 factor) with text AND email. At that point I printed the forms, got the mailing address, and mailed the shit in. I wouldn't have bothered, but for the two of us it's a substantial rebate. Anyway, it's been a week, we got both checks today. I won't have to deal with these folks until next year. I may get sneaky, log back in and print the forms, and do it all by mail next year.
