Most likely the turn signal would interfere with the d-bag's phone/pacifier usage. The brakes lights are automatic and hands-free.

This is an epidemic. I see daily cars in front of me putting on the blinker after they hit the brakes and slow down. They have no idea what the blinker is for.

If your blinkers are sluggish and take a while to come on after you activate the turn signal lever, you might need to flush the system with fresh fluid.
